Well, I'm late to the party, but I am very envious of 22Fan's Spyderco collection. Here are all my girlie accessories in all their glory, taken with a cellphone. Oh, and I got a new Gerber from my husband for Valentine's Day, so it's not in the pic. He knows what I like!:D

This is the 3rd one of these I've had. (They keep being given away to relatives) Cheap little CRKT made in Taiwan. Love the blade contour, and the nylon scales remind me of the old schrade imported Irish "Imperial" knife that was one of the best knives available.

The Mo'SKEETER looks to be discontinued now- it's no longer on the CRKT website.

This is my real daily carry knife. It's always in my daily kit bag, and always with me. It doesn't get used much, but it's there when I want it. It's 40-50 years old, and was my late father's knife. It's the only thing I have that belonged to him. My sister turned it over to me about ten years ago, and the edge was wrecked by someone with a file. The blade is quite thin, and very hard stainless. Anyone know anything about PAL knives?

Doc,

That's no Pal knife ya got there , that is a Remington. :bthumb:

In 1940 Remington sold it's company to Pal Cutlery Company of NY. Most were made with Remington tooling and have RH on the blade.

Those are some great shots. I'm glad you showed the homemade softbox rig at the end. That's something I've been meaning to do for a while, but just haven't gotten around to. Were you using a macro lens for these, or something at more normal magnifications (knives seem like that in between size of object...)
That is some **** good photography. Could you detail the making of that soft box? Looks great :bthumb:

I've seen plans on flickr that used the same logic, but for a 3D box rather than the Lean to style here. Logic is the same, though I'm not sure what he is using for diffusion material (the flickr project called for a cheap white bedsheet IIRC)

This one was a freebee. My daughter found it cheap some where, and figured I'd like it.

The edge needs a lot of work. Someone took it to a hard wheel, and it's going to take a bit of correcting. I'm not so sure the rivets through the stag grips are original- it looks like a home made repair to me.

Thanks for the reply. After a bit of looking around on the net, this knife is a bit older than I had thought- it probably dates back to his R.C.A.F. service days- either ETO, or Korea.

Justin,

Great shots! What brand of knife is in the first photo on top with the circle "R" logo? I've seen them before, but can't remember. Nice designs!
