Kimber Yonkers 10/22 Barrel

I picked up a Kimber fluted 10/22 barrel recently but didn't notice until I got home that it had a Kimber Yonkers roll mark. The one that I bought new is roll marked Kimber Of America. But after a recent post questioning these barrels I did a search and found that some Kimber barrels sold several years ago had Kimber Yonkers roll marks or none at all by the same seller. The unmarked barrels were said to of been Kimber and set side by side looked the same. I never knew about these Yonkers barrels and never saw them cataloged, but now I've got one

I'll post a pic along with my other barrel and an aftermarket test results from a Sept 97 .22 Rimfire magazine put out by Guns and Ammo.

Now that's cool! I didn't know Kimber made 10/22 barrels. You'll have to get it installed and let us know how it shoots.

That Nikon looks great too. I have a Remington 40x it would look great on if you decide you have one too many scopes.😉

To late on the scope, it's on my new 82B for the mean time. I do have a gloss Leupold in the pic that I can change to in case Vertfish finds out. He doesn't take kindly to NON SPEC scopes and rings

This is a Kimber of America barrel installed on a 10/22. Scope is a Weaver V-16. The barrel shoots decent but not to the same level as the Wilson barrel that I built the gun around.

I picked up a 10/22 with a Kimber barrel several years ago. It's the most accurate barrel have. Nice find.

I was digging through some old Kimber catalogs and just happen to notice the back cover of the 1997 catalog. In the top corner is mention of the 10/22 barrels. This is the only mention that I've seen in the Kimber literature besides the flyer. But still no mention in any of the Yonkers NY catalogs.
