Found these rings at a gun show a couple weeks ago and wondering if anyone can identify these? I've never seen them with this particular engraving and symbols on the Kimber lever rings before and wondering what I've got here...

Question for Watchaddic, how are the Centennial rings different? I looked at a Centennial and the pattern looked the same, or very close. Did Kimber make more sets of rings than the 40 or so Centennial rifles made? Thank you for your input. Tim.

Doesn't look like in the picture they are silver up top, if they are then bad picture and my mistake, if they are completely blued they are just factory engraved. They did, Larry Engraved several sets of Centennial rings and they ceased centennial production. As the major engraver at Kimber Larry Peters used similar on all his rifles depending on what style, deep relief scroll, fine English scroll, and etc. He also did a few sets of centennial rings after the fall of Kimber.

Thank you for the information, how does the engravings affect the value compared to standard lever rings, they are blued, no silver, would it be possible to show examples of the different types of scroll,( deep relief fine English), I had no idea they used different styles, thank you again for your time and information. Tim.

Thank you for taking the time to post a picture of your rifle, the rings are very close, little different, great find, the same vendor had a plastic tub with all sorts of odds and ends, a couple of sets of Kimber lever rings, and several sets of early talley rings, and a lever conversion set for the talley rings, it was a good day at that gun show ,somebody, Best Always, Tim.

Dang, how come I never see those guys at the shows I go to. However I just posted about a find at Saturday’s Hillsboro Collectors West show. They are usually terrible shows. The “ancestor” thread.

The value depends on the buyer and if they know what they are for. I have seen a few factory engraved rifles with no rings, I even had a centennial once with no rings, got a set of rings from a friend who got them from Larry. Then found another set just loose in a collection I sold. So I have a spare set and a few spare sets with different style engravings.
