Decided I needed a spare magazine, order two of the triple k magazines, would not even lock into the rifle. Sad face, was really excited to get them, had to return them. Have these worked for anyone else?

Remember that Winchester 320 magazines will work in the Kimber 82. The only downside is that they don’t fit flush and protrude appx 3/16” from the floor plate. Many times, especially on eBay, I’ve seen them advertised as real Kimber magazines, the instant giveaway is they have black plastic followers while real Kimber mags have either chromed brass or aluminum followers.
They function fine, in fact in my estimation the plastic followers slide more easily, especially in the 10 round versions.

For some reason, I’ve always seen 320 mags at gunshows, usually for about 1/2 what a Kimber brings. The interchangeability with 82 mags has probably enhanced their demand as in actuality they didn’t make a lot of 320 rifles.

Warne owned Sportco Australia but sold out about 5-6 years before the Winchester 320. The 320 and Kimber 82 both share the same magazines as some Sportco models. The 320 action, and possibly the barreled actions were made in Australia. The 320 is a great little rifle for hunting, plinking, and field carry. Lighter than a Kimber and a notch lower in quality. I used to have one. Will have another if the right deal comes along.

Mr. Warne actually designed a line of rifles under the Sportco name and sold them in Australia. At some point he manufactured actions, both single shot and magazine fed and contracted them for sale to Winchester and exported them to the US where they were barreled and stocked with American parts and sold as the 310 and 320. They used internal parts common to the Sportco and even a few that fit an 82, including the keyhole magazine.
They are decently made rifles although not quite on par with a Kimber. I think every Kimber collection should include one.

I received an extra 5 round mag with the purchase of my original Yonkers Custom classic. Over the years, I have used the extra mag as collateral to purchase homes, land and vehicles due to it’s astronomical appreciation rate. When the Yellowstone Ranch finally goes on the sell block, I should be able to trade even. Who’d a thunk it?

I think Winchester mags will work but you have to grind the bump off the right side and then properly locate and file in the notches on the back.
I think it’s just easier and cheaper to buy Wisner made magazines for the Remington 500 series rifles from Brownell’s.
