Has anyone tried JB weld or something similar for bedding an action? What did you use for release agent?

Drill angled holes and get some mechanical lock going onAll the above work for wood stocks. What do you guys use for plastic? Most epoxies I have looked at will not adhere to thermoplastic polymers such as ABS.![]()

I'm gonna do one this weekend...been thinking about it for awhile, but those pictures have put me over the edge.
Do you mind if I PM you for some of the finer points?
Been there, done that. Also roughed the surface with 80 grit paper. Unfortunately mechanical lock is not the same as adhesion, and the 'bedding' will eventually pop loose. May not fall out, but does not do the job as intended. Actually can make things worse than not bedding in the first place.Drill angled holes and get some mechanical lock going on
I thought that's what I saidI don't think you'll find Kiwi natural shoe polish, I do use Kiwi neutral shoe polish. It works great plus it super thin for a snug fit.
I've had no problems getting Devcon Liquid Steel *Putty* to adhere to polymer stocks. I've done 3 Archangel Dlx Target stocks and 2 OEM CZ 452 Silhouette stocks. Roughed up with 80 grit and Dremel bits, the Devcon bonded VERY well-Been there, done that. Also roughed the surface with 80 grit paper.
