I wanna make a 1022 Scout Rifle

Does any know of a seller that .
makes a mount that fits in the rear sight groove of a 1022??

I'm afraid I don't know of one, but don't let that stop you if so:
I had my local gunsmith D&T my Marlin 70P for a Weaver base that happened to fit the bbl contour pretty well;
if you're interested, I could determine the Weaver # for that base ?



There are a few scout rifle fans here on RFC, so please keep us posted with any progress.

If you do happen to do this, my vote is to use a 10-22 Takedown for this mod, comparable to my Marlin 70P takedown above. (y)

I wanted on from Chief AJ. But didn't have the $$$ at the time. A pointed post reticle was on the one I pawed....

Dove makes a nice mount that utilizes the dovetail and a jack screw to stabilize it. I went one further and drilled and tapped my barrel to add an additional screw to the mount since I prefer two solid mounting points. I added a 4x weaver scout scope and now it’s perfect. I had a Nikon P-22 mounted on the receiver rail prior. Since it’s a take down I prefer the barrel mounted scout scope.
