Found on an LGS clearance rack. Don't know a lot about the HE model but I hope I get some insight. Sure has a bigger barrel than the HD Military.

Finally got a chance to shoot the HE a little and it shoots great. Love the balance of the heavier barrel. It has one of the best triggers of any of my rimfire pistols. Wish the HD was even close but it is not!

A Pre War MODEL H-D would be pretty much the same as the MODEL H-E. The post War models like the MODEL H-D MILITARY had different sear bar, sear, and hammer and would likely be a little different. Actually there are several variations of sears and hammer post war. Your HD could also be the victim of a hobbiest gunsmith.
