The rifle, SN 277, is a early Model of 1922 that was made in F/Y 1923. The M1922 bolt was a dual striker design, with a headless firing pin rod. All were marked with the "WL3" steel code. However, without seeing the bolt face, I cannot be sure it is not a later M1922M1 with a single striker. Both bolt designs used the same rear bolt handle assembly and early M1922M1 bolts were also marked "WL3".

The rifle also has its original 5-22 dated barrel (plugged D&T holes) and Lyman 48B 1 MOA rear sight, (damaged). It is missing the correct M1922 magazine and M1922 sporting style stock. The M2 stock, with rebuild cartouche and "P" proof, was acquired and used by a previous owner because the rifle shows no signs of having been upgraded by Springfield Armory.

where can i find a after market magazine or factory magazine for a Springfield 22 caliber model 1922 rifle(No m-1 or m-2).send info to (dalerstephens@gmail.com). thanks
Ebay usually has them, but be prepared for sticker shock.
I wouldnt waste time and money on a Triple-K magazine. The one I tried wouldn't feed for poop.
It's factory or nothing, IMO.

I just received one of these new mags today. I cannot recommend getting one unless you are willing to spend a lot of time and effort to make it work. The mag holds 5 rounds (ad says 4). No matter how many rounds are loaded the last one hangs up and cannot feed. It seems to be jammed by the rim near the top of the mag. I think(hope) that I can rework the inside of the rear of the mag. The spring seems to be stronger than necessary and may be part of the problem. I will report back.

The rounds sometimes (50%) feed properly but the last one always jams. I have tried this mag in 2 rifles an M2 and a recovered '03-A3 converted to M2. The results are the same with both. I wish the mag would perform as advertised. Unfortunately it does not hence my comments.
