She certainly is. They don't call them "maligators" for nothing. Her "laid back" mood is just running circles in the room half way up the walls. When she is wound up, she runs circles just below the crown molding. She needs a good 2 hours a day of running to keep her in a "laid back" mood. She is also the most expensive dog I have ever had. In the last 2 years she has cost us just under $9000 in medical bills....that is our share after insurance.

With all of her flaws though, she is awesome. Caesar is as laid back as any GSD I've ever had though...he is the yin to her yang. He was a rescue from a kill shelter in TX. I love them both to death.

Pitties get a bad rap. I was a cop for 21 years and dealt with thousands of dogs on calls. I got bit maybe a couple dozen times in my career and none of those bites came from pit bulls. In fact, I never dealt with an overly aggressive pit in all that time. By far, the dogs that bit me most often were herding breeds...border collies, aussie's, cattle dogs, etc. Those were followed by the ankle biters. I also know quite a few people with pit bulls and they are all as nice as can be.

The Pyrenees are strong and fearless breed when it come protecting what’s theirs. People have them as livestock dogs in my part of the country protecting every thing from chickens, goats and any other livestock they may have. Coyotes have gotten bad around here over the years.

We are going to have to put this big girl on a diet. my youngest daughter picked her up from the side of the road in the middle of no where when she was about 5 to 6 weeks old according to the vet . She was in pretty bad shape with fleas and sores covering her body. My daughter said she would find her a home. She is now 2 years old so I guess she did find her a home. Have a great day

I love it...I'm a cat person too. Cats and dogs, dogs in particular, are one of the few living creatures that give back to you, more, than you give to them. People don't do it, no other pet does it...nothing compares.
we have our fair share of cats also

Cooler days , fresh air he comes in eats his supper and konked out. He has been a exception hunting partner obedient 99% of the time. For the first 7 years he was on a tite rope . The last year and a half . I've let him enjoy life and be a dog . I catch myself calling him 3 or 4 here's where back in the day he got one call and if he didn't high tail it back he was getting lit up. He has given me his best it time for him to be a dog . This thing has never met a enemy. A I have passed on a few hunts where I thought the other dog or dogs could be aggressive. He is my best one so far and I doubt it will be another after him .
If you see me you see him unless I'm banging rimfire or clay targets .

I have a dozen katz in the house with me. I've put pictures in other threads. We had dogs when I lived at home before marrying and moving out. For many years I just refused to have any pets because of the pain of losing them when they died. I finally swayed then crashed, allowing many into my heart. Animals are better than people, no lieing and betrayal.

I lost my baby Bear on September 2nd. We found him out in the barn shed abandoned by his mother and brought him into the house. We fed him kitten replacement milk with a bottle and he slept on the pillow by my head to stay warm. He stayed with me all the time when indoors and slept by me each night, sometimes on my hips. His death just crushed me and took a piece that can't be replaced.

Here are some words of wisdom to consider and a wonderful point of view.

you may of only had them for a short time of your life , they “your pets” had you their whole life or to the end of their life.

in short they didn’t die alone but had you there till the end to comfort them.
