Fixes a problem I dont have. Cleaning.
Creates a problem I dont want.forward scope mounting.

 

If I were to build a 10/22 I don't think this would be for me. I still fine it interesting though. I too was wondering about the top plate and how long before it begins to loosen up.

 

The CNC machine work is truly outstanding and there's a minute or two degrees of taper in the internal rails, it tightens up about halfway in then there's a locating 'nub' on the port side and then the stainless AR-style miniature lower pin that's also captured by a detent.

There's quite a bit more to it than 'meets the keyboard'....

 

I started developing these in 2017 in Austria, refining them for many years, got huge support from Thefirearmblog outright because the Editor in Chief loved the idea. At the end of 2020 I had the first production run for Europe ready, and since 2021 Fletcher Rifle Works is producing them in Texas in a great quality. Fletcher Rifle Works of course refined a few things and is working on new versions that are requested by the customers (Takedown for example) . I added some of the videos/reviews, all I have added is not paid at all, Iraqveteran8888 for example even bought the receiver, this was a complete surpise, it is by far my favorite video, because you can see how reliable it runs and how much he enjoys it. You can find lots of customer feedback in the forums already, people are very pleased with it usually.

The inability to use a scope on this kills it for me. I would have thought they would have built the picatinny rail on the sliding piece so that you could remove the scope with the slide to access the bolt. Any play in the slide would of course kill that idea.

 

Scope use works very well with AR-15 offset mounts in reverse + the bolt can be removed between the scope and the receiver with the config you see on the photo.

+ There is a version available that has a picatinny rail on the cover/sliding piece, you can see it on the homepage of Fletcher Rifle Works. I prefer the original version where the scope is firmly connected to the receiver and the barrel.

 

 

I think I like using the reversed AR15 mount better than the slide top. Any movement in that slide would throw off the scope.

My 74 year old eyes prefer a Trijicon red dot on my 11/22 Fletcher and love this combination. Just very minor adjustment depending on the ammo used and it shoots better than I can ever hope for, lol .

 

Pardon the thread revival after it's been quiet for a year. For the 11/22 owners...

How's the open top holding up? Do you get the impression the receiver is rigid enough? After how many rounds, what's your opinion (comparing to any other receiver you have, even stock)? I'd like to do a few builds in the near future. Currently, I feel like jumping into a few different brands and seeing how each performs over time.
