I got a bunch of this pretty cheap.I've shot it in about 10 different guns.So far i've not found this to be very consistent ammo in anything.
Is is anybody having luck with this stuff?

Federal Automatch was tied with CCI SV as 2nd place compared to Norma TAC-22/MATCH-22 for my go to range rounds at our club until I experienced FTF's in both of my CZ 457 Varmint MTRs. Both times the unfired round wouldn't eject and I had to use a rod with a muzzle guard to carefully knock out them out, no more Fed Am from my CZs. I still shoot it from my Rugers with non match chambers.

That is plinkin and playin around and break-in ammo for me. I Know that whatever groups I get a 50yd will be bettered by any ammo the next step up.
And I LIKE plinking and playin around these days :)

My CZ rifles love the stuff and they don't know the different between any of Fed. Hi-V'S other variety.
Just shot some last weekend in the fun 25 Y match here on RFC.
Now I haven't been shooting or buying Fed. Hi-V as of late for the last few years
when I could buy Norma Tac for cheaper and I did stack it deep when Tac was selling cheep.
CZ rifles just flat out shoot a wide variety of ammo....just you all joint the CZ club. 🫶🫵🏻

So the cheap Federal is more consistent that day than the more expensive SK. But the proof is on paper which was better?

I've been using Federal Auto Match in my plinkers for years now,,,
I've never experienced the FTF's some complain about.

I also like the fact that it's HV ammo,,,
It runs all of my semi-auto fiery-arms very nicely

In my two long range rifles,,,
There's a noticeable difference between it and CCI-SV.

With CCI my CZ-457 Varmint is shooting MOA groups at 100 yards,,,
When I use Auto Match in that same rifle,,,
The groups grow to 1.5" to 2".

But in my CZ-512 Carbine which is my Paper Plate Challenge rifle,,,
I can't tell any difference between it and CCI-SV at 50 yards.

CCI is running 10 cents/round in 50 round boxes at Wal Mart,,,
If I order 500 round bricks from sgammo it's 8 cents/round.

Fed Auto Match is 6 cents/round ($19.95/box) at Walmart,,,
It's just cheap enough to keep me using it.

I have over 15,000 rounds of it stockpiled,,,
Same for bricks of CCI-SV.

That was just shameless bragging ;)

$22 a box~???? That's pretty darned high in my view~! I just paid $6 a box out the door for CCI Quiets, and $39 per brick of CCI Standard Velocity at a gun show on 8/9/2025. His Norma TAC-22 was $39 per brick~! My experience with Automatch was never too good so I didn't even look at what the guy was selling his for~!! This guy is at almost every show and always has tons of ammo, even cases of RF~!!

Hi.

I just got through trying it again through my CZ 452 LUX. At 150yds I can keep all five shots in a 4" circle with no wind. This is from a bag rest. Since I don't punch paper very often, this is good enough for me. I've taken it to 175yds once and had similar results.
I'm shooting off my side porch. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains so finding long shots here is a real challenge, Lucky we have pastures for our horses...
