Seriously considering this to be my do it all scope for ASA, NRL and one day PRS and it's within my budget of <$500.
Was wondering if anyone feels based on their experience if there is a better option in scopes with a TD/Christmas tree MIL type reticle in the <$500 price range.

Could you give me your thoughts on the Match Pro's Christmas tree style reticle
My concern is like many in it has so many different strata aiming points I am concerned about havening difficulty choosing the correct one within the "tree" when shooting. Otherwise it would already be on top of my rifle.

Anything above 14x and they are easy to pick out. Under that it's a little busy. if I'm using it on low magnification it's because I'm shooting something relatively large from a very unstable position with a tight time bracket. Otherwise I'm always above 20x even offhand.
Speaking of offhand, the floating center dot is very good for offhand.

Thank you for your reply.
I have some but not much experience using a FFP scope.
Looking to buy a FFP for use in NRL and trying to keep the cost reasonable.
Came down to this scope or an Athlon Argos. I found for both NRL and ASA a floating dot reticle is significantly better FOR ME than a traditional intersecting cross hair and Athlon currently offers no scopes in the at or below $500 price range with a floating dot reticle.

For any NRL scope I would buy it must have:
Minimum 6-24x
Floating dot reticle
Christmas Tree reticle
Minimum 50mm front objective 56mm preferable but not mandatory
30mm main tube
FFP (ouch! can't believe I'm coming over to the dark side, hope you guys have cookies)
MILLs (double OUCH! been an MOA guy all my life)
Solid robust zero stop
Stiff durable audible tactile turrets
Tracks extremely well
Side focus and focuses down to at least 15 yards 10 yards if possible.
Under $600
Unless I am missing a scope the only scope that meets every last one of my requirements is the 6-24x50mm Bushnell Match Pro
So Bushnell Match Pro it will be.

Thanks for all the replies.
I have a lot of shooting ahead of me to learn how to dial or use sub tensions when shooting. Really looking forward to it.

I have one sitting on top of my RPR 22 and love it. The glass if very clear, the parlax down to 10 years is very nice, turret knobs have a nice tactile clicks.

The missing zero stop is the only negative I have for the scope. Not a major one. I got used to it pretty quick but would have been nice to have.

Spend the extra $50 and get the illuminated one. You won't regret it.

Thanks a great deal for all the responses but I found an 6-24x56mm Athlon Helos BTR with the APRS6 FFP IL reticle at eBay for $549 W/free shipping and it has a 34mm tube, 56mm front lens AND a zero set AND locking target turrets with a TD Christmas tree style reticle I really like.
Literally everything I wanted in a RS for NRL and PRS.
I got it in three days, tried it out loved it went back to buy a second one and the price went up to over $600.
This is happened now three previous times when I bought three different rifle scopes in the last almost two years.
First it was when I bought a Swift Premier 6-24x50mm 1/4" TD scope at Amazon for IIRC <$250 only to see it go up to well over $300 in less than 72 hours
Second was when I bought a Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 4-12x40mm scope for <$130 TMD again to see the price go up by over $60 in less than 72 hours
And lastly with the Athlon Helos I just bought.
Just used the Athlon Helos on top of my T1X as a test bed and was very happy with it. Extremely clear and bright glass and the illuminated reticle works even in very bright light, actually can be to bright.
Absolutely Christal clear at 10 yards.
Target dot could be a little bigger but it works quite well.
I looked at evaluated the fallowing scopes before choosing the Helos:
<>Arken SH4 6-24x50 GREAT scope IMHO absolutely best scope for the money EXCEPT will not focus down below 25 yards a total deal killer for a scope used for NRL or PRS as ALL the clubs by me (including mine) who host NRL or PRS shoots have targets starting at 15 yards.
<>Arken EP5 6-25x50 same issue as the SH4. If the SH4 or EP5 focused down to 15 yards I'd own at least two.
<>Bushnell match Pro
Was going to buy but scope has no zero stop and the Helos was only 12% more and offered a butt load more features for only $60 more.
<>Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x50 and Argos BTR 8-34x56
Great scopes but no reticle available for either with a target dot and for ME a TD is if possible is a must have item in a 22lr precision optic
Will see how well it serves me or most truthful how well I serve it.
