I'm thinking of getting a Henry small game rifle or carbine before next spring. Since I won't be shooting much the next few months due to the winter weather, I'm not in a super big rush to buy it. So, I figured I'd ask the experts here if Henry's ever go on sale and if so when.

I have not seen them "on sale". You can always contact the CEO and ask directly. New H001 models fun in the $250 to $300 range. You won't find them much lower than that.

You can check out gunbroker dot com and see what the asking prices are.

You can look at the trading post here at RFC and you can always post a Want-To-Buy ad...........

Good Luck.

Henry

Although most places price them as they are due to mfg requirements, if you are a regular purchaser at your local dealer, they may be able to cut the price a little. Just remember though if they do that you are cutting into their profit margin. Henry's are good rifles and tend to be pass down type rifles (fathers to sons an what not). Me I love Henry's but on the same note hate the whole tube feed type rifle.
Good luck with it, just remember any good collector will have a Henry in there collection.

I just did that... bought a Golden Boy a couple of days ago at Bass Pro using gift cards I got by redeeming the reward points on my VISA rewards credit card that I earned over the past year or so.

I used the VISA card for everything, including things I would have normally wrote a check for (insurance policy renewals, etc.), I made sure to pay the balance in full each month to not pay any interest on the card use.

Already planning for what my next free Henry purchase will be 2018 :D

So they say...

I get about two e-mails a week from Henry and their retailers talking about special deals on this, that or the other. Believe them if you will. I'm currently saving my pennies for a decent vintage Marlin 39A or 39M, so I haven t bothered to look too closely at what they're selling.

Go to Cabelas after Christmas

There will be plenty of Henry's on the used gun racks after the holiday.Cabelas p as cash for used guns and plenty of moms will be bring in " not in my house " gifts from ignorant fathers and grand fathers.I just bought one ,A Henry youth for $ 229.00 ,that had that sad history.

New ,not even shot ,but unwanted.Otherwise not so many ,cause those who shoot them keep them.
I just saw a Black Friday leftover at my local gun store for the Std Hoo1 for $259.00 . That's the first sale on a Henry that I have ever seen. While I like the look of the golden boy better I think the std model is a better gun because the stock doesn't drop so much, better for a scope, and the barrel is lighter, and so the balance of the rifle is better for me. But if I could use iron sights it would be golden boy all the way.It just looks so cool.

Some are on sale

I just ordered a .22lr Frontier from Tombstone Tactical for $349.25 with free shipping that included $3,12 for shipping insurance.
Their offering of the H001 is way down in price also.
I would presume these are backed up stock from when the hard to get ammo made 22 rifles a little harder to move.
