Diamondback revolver?

Was looking at some Wranglers in LGS today and I noticed a cylinder with more than 6 holes in it. Asked to see it. It looks like a single action revolver, but has no loading gate. Cylinder swings out like a DA revolver. 9 shot double action with 4.5 inch barrel, about same size as a Wrangler. Hammer looks like plastic. Trigger is pretty gritty but it might smooth out with use. Has anybody shot one of these? The man behind the counter said they have been around for about a year. $299.00 With 22 Mag cylinder.

Diamondback is the manufacturer, not the model, as in Colt Diamondback, that was available in both 22 LR and 38 Special....a 'baby Python'.
Basically Diamondback copied the High Standard Double Nine revolver that was around in the 1950's era.

Saw Diamond back and got to shoot it. Save your money it’s a novelty gun. Wrangler is the more accurate one. Rough Rider is another that is a waste. I know a couple guys bragging on Rough Riders. They are the kind that wouldn’t pay a nickel to see a piss ant eat a bale of hay. All three of above guns are novelty types but the Wrangler is hands down better built revolver.
True accuracy tests are groups shot from rest. Before you start bragging accuracy I want to see groups.

Thank you all for your opinions. I have a Wrangler. I have mixed feelings about it. I am not sure if it is me, or the revolver, but not able to hit targets consistently. SP 101 is accurate for me.

That little double action Diamondback caught my attention for the 9 shot, but when I handled it, it certainly did not remind me of any H&R I have ever owned. I don't think it should have been on the same shelf with those Wranglers.
