can anybody figure the date of manufacture for CCI 22 mag ammo with code of A22W30

if you have a specific lot # that you want dated, email CCI, or any manufacturer for that matter, and they will be able to tell you a manufacture window for their own ammo. I have done it a couple times and they were very helpful. now, if you email them with a 2 page list of lot numbers for every box of ammo in your house, they may not be so quick to help.

Copied from elsewhere (have to extrapolate from P = 2008, or W = 2015):
Since 1995 SPEER/CCI products have used lot numbers that allow you to discern their date of manufacture. These lot numbers are in the form of L##L##, where L is a letter and # is a number. The first letter is the month A thru M, January thru December, skipping I. The next two numbers are the numerical date 01 thru 31, single digit dates getting a leading zero. The second letter is the year A thru P, skipping I and O, for 1995 thru 2008. Numbers following these I haven't figured out yet.

First letter/Month:
A - January
B - February
C - March
D - April
E - May
F - June
G - July
H - August
J - September
K - October
L - November
M - December

First two digits/Numerical date:
01-31

Second letter/Year:
A - 1995
B - 1996
C - 1997
D - 1998
E - 1999
F - 2000
G - 2001
H - 2002
J - 2003
K - 2004
L - 2005
M - 2006
N - 2007
P - 2008
So, if correct, yours would be Jan. 22, 2015.

I know this is an old thread but I just bought a couple of cases of CCI .22LR ammo (Blazer and Mini-Mags) and wondered what the manufacture date on them was. Assuming that the new lots are freshly made and that the letter/year scheme continues, it should run like this:

A 1995
....
P 2008
Q 2009
R 2010
S 2011
T 2012
U 2013
V 2014
W 2015
X 2016
Y 2017
Z 2018
AA 2019
BA 2020
CA 2021
DA 2022
EA 2023

The Month code should still be the same:

A January
....
M December

One case is Lot D12EA06 which would be April 12, 2023, and the other is F26EA06 which would be June 26, 2023. (I also have an old case of Blazer that is Lot A12S24 which would be January 12, 2011, which sounds about right as to when I bought it.) I still haven't seen an explanation for the last two numbers.

Hope this is helpful.
