CZ457 Volquartsen Extractor Set

As title states, several months back I purchased a Volquartsen extractor set as spares but never installed them. Today I put them in my MTR bolt and found the bolt very, very stiff to close. Live rounds feed and extract OK but bolt operation extremely firm. Curious is that if I leave the spring clip off, bolt operation is normal but obviously that is needed. I miked the old and new extractors and holders in several dimensions and old and new are within .001-.0015 of each other.
Any ideas?

My original set from Volquartsen did not work period. No extraction or ejection. I sent them back in January but apparently they are having problems getting them just right. I requested they send the ones I returned and I would try to make them work. The ones I got back are not the original set since these work perfectly BUT bolt operation is very, very firm. Almost like a tight headspace problem
I shot 150 rounds this morning of Lapua and Eley and had not one extraction or ejection problem.
Still working on the stiff bolt issue.

After around 40k shot i had a broken extractor so i bought the volquarsten one, what a mistake! Ad to find an original one in order to have a working extraction, cost more than the original one and was suppose to be an upgrade!

Recently, I bought a new 457 Scout and decided to upgrade a few components. I have had good success with Volquartsen products so decided why not upgrade the Extractor/Ejector set. The rifle went from operating 100% with the factory extractor/ejector to completely unreliable with the Volquartsen Extractor Ejector Kit. I couldn't reinstall the factory components fast enough.

Epic fail by Volquartsen... they should either do better or pull this product until they get it right!

FYI on the volquartsen extractor set: on a recent Pursuit Of Accuracy podcast Josh announced that VQ is offering to replace these with an improved design.

I emailed and received an RMA, we'll see if the replacements work any better...
