Nice looking rig. The stock is very similar to my Sako 85 Bavarian... guess that's why I like it.
308 is my second favorite bncf round. If you hand load try some Sierra 155 Palma match bullets over 43.7 gr of RL15. It's a super accurate load and the BC is similar to their 175gr hp's.

Beautiful rifle! I wondered at the photo - does that knife-pointed cheek rest stab your face on recoil?

 

I have not shot it yet but feels nice to me. Going to try to get to the range today so will have some results.

 

Be sure to take the allen wrench to adjust the trigger weight. It's easy and the trigger crisp. Low end is about 1.5 lbs. I see this has the steel receiver like the 600 range. I'd love to see your results.

 

Made it to the range today, tried different loads and best was this four shot group of 13/16" at 100 yds, 180 gr bullets. So CZ doesn't lie about MOA at 100yds. Will fine tune this load.
Cheek piece is really nice for me, no issues there. I also had my trigger set at 1.5 though my trigger pull scale said 1.4lbs, pretty sweet but for hunting I'd be putting it at the second setting.

Seems like I have a couple sleeves of bad primers as had two misfires. Great day to be out, finish my shooting session with the CVA Scout 45-70.

Bad primers seem to be the norm lately, though all of the failures I've heard about were with win primers. Disappointed to hear of ftf's with cci 200's, those have always been solid performers for me.

 

Thanks for posting your outing! As you tweak your loads, consider the cartridge OAL. My Range prefers 168gr BTHP at factory length but shoots 180's better when I set them .003 back from touching the lands, except for Berger VLDs: those I have to have just touching to get them to group. Enjoy the process! Nothing like a good looking gun that shoots great!

 

Back out again for more reload tests. Had some I had made for my other 308 rifle with 165 gr bullets. CZ appears to like these way better then the 180's. Of course needed to pull one shot it appears.

Yeah like that powder, just need to fine tune and improve on my part. I just joined a shooting range, find it very distracting so far but there is snow where I usually go this time of year

 

Starting to find a load for the 180gr bullets.

 

5 shot group at 100 yds and had to pull one shot, of course. I am really impress with this rifle.
Next time out I will try at 250 yds, far as our range goes.

 

I like the look, tried hard to convince myself to get that model but then ran across a Savage 110 Trail Hunter in .308 for under $400 so went that way...it's been a long time since I owned a Savage centerfire rifle...that 600 Lux is a beauty and would look good beside my Scout/Premium...

Those are very comfortable stocks...

 

That is a beauty. I also have a 457, Canadian model. I also have a Savage Axis II in 308 but this CZ 600 is way more accurate and more comfortable to shoot.

 

Well that didn't last long, LGS had one for about an hour...

Congratulations. Very nice. Wood looks darker then mine. You are gonna like it. Notice yours was pack in Styrofoam while mine was just in a cardboard box, wonder why that is.

 

You never know with CZ, obviously different importers or at least I'd think so....

 

Okay, scoped and range ready...All Czech setup

Meopta 3-15x w/30mm tube SF and German style three post with a nice adjustable brightness red dot in the middle, I've got one on one of my squirrel rifles and its a great all day any light condition scope.

 

I really like that stock and color. Report back once done at the range. Today I pick up a spare magazine, way cheaper then a lot of other ones out there, heck was at least double the price just for my Savage.
