Yeah I did the stock work myself and will do another for my Suhl with a similar design so I think the Marlin may resume life as a squirrel rifle. As far as the Marlin is concerned, the scope mounts are drilled off-center (as in 1' off at 50 yards with Burris Signature rings being used) and I only recently picked up a suitable dovetail-to-Weaver mount to fix that problem. I could also only get the trigger down to a safe 16 oz., which means that rifle does not like to be shot free-recoil. At least it tracks very well. I've only been able to shoot at 25 yards and it has shot some 5x5's in the low teens, but I don't have full confidence in it yet. I've got some more lots of ammunition to test out and have a Leupold 36x to shoot with, so I think honest 1/4" groups at 50 yards are possible (and my honest I mean repeatable), so we'll see.
If I do get a tuner, it'll be for the Suhl.
