I see them on Sportsman's website for sale. Wondered if anyone had one yet.

there is a large, pent up demand and it will take a while to get enough inventory out to meet even the backlog

Not too many 10 round revolvers on the market !

The Ruger GP100 in 22r has been unavailable for some time, making the market even more lopsided...
... the S&W 617 is also all but impossible to find.

So the new Colt is going for more than MSRP on Gunbroker for now.

I bought a new 617 last winter. They are around. Yes, mine has the lock and no, I don’t care. It has a great trigger, locks up tight, and it goes along with my 686…same leather, same VZ custom grips. Kind of like precision rimfire trainer for a precision center fire. I admit I’m a huge S&W revolver guy, but also have the new Anaconda, and a couple of Freedom Arms guns, too. Love the 617.

I haven't really kept track of Colt, but how has their quality been? Are they just spitting out classic versions at a premium price and lower build quality, or have they stayed the course? I'd like to see one in the 6" version, or maybe even 8", but I likely will end up with one.

Since CZ took over, I would be inclined to think things got straightened out, especially when launching a new model that didn't exist prior to the CZ deal. The Czechs would not have paid $250 million and then not fix things.

I found this thread to be somewhat informative about recent quality:

I've had a hankering for a new DA .22 for awhile now and I like the looks of this one. I've been looking at on-line prices and the only places that have them in stock want $300 to $400 over MSRP. Guess I'll have to wait a bit.

Picked up my Colt King Cobra Target 22 today and couldn't be happier. The finish is fantastic and every bit as high polished as the new Pythons and Anacondas. The action is super smooth and even lighter. In double action the cylinder indexes well before the hammer drops so it's easy to stage just like a properly tuned S&W. The only thing I may change will be the grips. The rubber ones feel great but I think wood will look better. Colt has really got their act together after a shaky start with their new revolvers. This is an expensive revolver but think it's worth every penny. When you get to handle one in person I think you'll agree. Its not a Diamondback but its Colts first 10 shot rimfire revolver.

Braved the cold weather for a short range outing with my new Colt and couldn't be happier. Fired 10 rounds single action then 10 rounds double action. Double action I had 3 light strikes but after that 2'nd cylinder full the light strikes went away. Perhaps the shorter DA hammer throw or the parts just breaking in caused the light strikes. But again after that thru 150 rounds of CCI Standard velocity and MiniMags I experienced no more light strokes so all is good. This is really an impressive revolver that I can highly recommend.

I must say. It is concerning to see 3 light strikes in one loading with CCI ammo.

It would have been nice to see the case head after the failure. To see how much of an impingement was made.

My understanding is the Python had more serious issues with the cylinder not turning.
CZ is a great company. I am hopeful they get this one right.

lil_glock the case heads all had good strikes so I don't know what caused it. But after that first cylinder double action light strikes never occurred again. Perhaps the extractor had to settle in the rear of the cylinder. Whatever is was the new Colt seems good to go now. CCI MiniMags and Standard velocity is my go to ammunition which works with every firearm. All told I'm really impressed with this new Colt 22, the trigger is really good.
