I picked up this Charter Arms Explorer II. I have heard they are horrible. I thought it would parter well with my Zip22.

Any clue on weather this well run "better" with standard or high velocity ammo. I usually run CCI so did not know if mini-mags, SV.

Any other cool info I need to know?

Nice fine, yes you hear a lot of bad things on them. But it also seem that everybody also wants one.

I have one as well, but have never shot it, no box. I installed a charter arms mount on it and added a cheap reflex sight. I used to shoot my AR-7 a lot and it ran flawlessly with standard velocity ammo. But I passed it on when I came into a new one in the box.

Thank you for the information! I will start with Standard velocity. I think I am going to take it to the range tomorrow. See if it will shoot any rounds at all. I have a YouTube channel, and going to do a video on this gun. Can I use your picture to show the mount. If not I won't, but you have a really cool looking gun.

Well nuts! Now you have started me on another quest. I swear after each purchase that I have all I am going to buy. Then along comes someone like you to totally blow that vow out of the water. ;)There is something truly wrong with me!

Roysha I am the exact same way. That is how I ended up with a Frommer Stop and a Zip 22.

When I took it to the range today, it HATED Standard Velocity. It ran amazing with CCI Mini-Mags.

It was not super accurate. Also you have to be very deliberate when you charge it. Use your right hand straight back and let it go. When ever I tried to overhand charge it, the round would jam.
There is no feed ramp with this gun so it can be finicky.
