I don’t have any Burris rings, but have a few 722M (high) rings that I like. They’re the 70/30 configuration. I take my small hammer with rubber side and lightly tap the top ring portion while it’s on a hard surface. It opens it just a hair, so once you snap them on the scope will still rotate freely until screws are tightened.

 

I have been pleasantly surprised at the price and quality of Monstrum rings. They have become my 'GOTO' for mounting my scopes. Modest costs allow getting several height rings, just in case.

 

I use Burris, Weaver, Simmons and a few others I can't think of right now. Use whatever you like best and puts the scope where you like it. you're not shooting big calibers so rimfire rings do their job very well. It's more looks and style that people like. Good luck on your quest.

I ordered up the Warne ones a couple days ago but I have no idea when they're going to get here. I got anxious and sent for a set of the Burris ones also. They'll probably be fine although those giant screws aren't too sleek looking lol.

 

GregP74 sir they may not look great but if you have to remove your scope out in the field the large slot works great with coins to either tighten or remove your scope. it's better than some small bit you forgot at home.

I use a lot of the Leupold Rifleman rings for rimfires.They are about 20 bucks and never had a problem.

 

I was very fond of a UTG airgun 1 piece mount. Have it on a couple Marlin 60s and a Remington 597 and come to think of it the grandson's model 60 also. But won't work on a Savage mark II with weaver bases. Went with Monstrum rings, couldn't find UTG rings that would fit. Very satisfied with the rings I got. So, got the rings, got the scope, reckon the rifle is next. (Is this any way to outfit a rifle, talk about bassackwards...)

 

I use the Warne QD rimfire rings on mine, at least on the guns that have iron sights so I can use them easily and quickly.
