I have sold firearms on consignment at local gun shops (LGS's) since I don't have to deal with a potential purchaser, more people put eyes on it than word-of-mouth and the LGS screens the potential purchaser thru' the NICS checks. I give up a percentage but it is worth it for the ease of the transfer.

 

That was my next option.

 

I asked about it here then advertised on another forum to move some vintage guns locally. Restrictions where I live make owning guns and selling your personal property a real hassle, and next year it will be almost impossible to do in any volume.

 

@Wild Mouse where in NJ? I have an FFL just across the river from me in PA that buys and sells, mostly vintage stuff, so depending on what you're looking to sell he might be interested.

 

I use "Lock, Stock, & Barrel" rThey come and pick them up from me. On gunbroker auction. Great pictures is what sells on the internet or on our classifieds here. It;s always nice to give our gang a chance at a good buy first.

 

I sell on consignment at my LGS. Another option is Amoskeag Auction, depending on value they could go in the live auction or timed (on-line) auction
