Anyone have any experience with the bersa thunder in 22? I have a 380 but im considering a 22 version for cheaper shooting. Good or bad? I'd love to find a used one but they seem to be hard to find. New ones are 300 so not terrible. Any shoot one?

I have one that I bought new years ago. They are fun shooters. Buy extra mags as soon as you find them online as they are apparently made in batches.

Considering that new Bersa 22s are selling at virtually the same price they were 10 years ago, I’d buy a new one over a used one.

When new, they like hotter ammo like mini mags and the magazines are stiff. Best to download the mags by a cartridge or two until they break in.

One of the finest performing medium frame rimfire pistols out there.

I have three friends who bought one after shooting mine,,,
Every person loves the guns because they just shoot.

Here's a hint though,,,
The main spring MUST go over the barrel in the correct orientation,,,
One end of the spring is slightly (ever so slightly) smaller than the other end.

The small end goes toward the rear of the pistol.

I had the pistol for about a year when it started having all sorts of FTE problems,,,
It also started to fail to load the next cartridge properly,,,
A member here told me about the spring.

I reinstalled it correctly and haven't had a problem since.

I probably have well over 5,000 rounds of Walmart Federal Bulk HV ammo through mine.

I have one of the threaded models. It shoots great and has been reliable although I only have a few hundred rounds through it. Really nice pistol for the money, and you can shoot it with a suppressor no problem and still see the sights. The magazines are not cheap though.

The single stack magazine .380 Bersa Thunder is the same size as a .22 LR Bersa Thunder.

Bersa also makes a .380 Thunder plus, which uses a double stack magazine. I've never seen one in person, but I imagine it's going to be slightly different in size in the grip frame.

Wife had both a .380 and a .22. The 22 was MAYBE a little more finicky with regards to ammo. The 380 was her EDC in her purse for a couple of years until she graduated to 9mm and got a Glock.

I have a 22 magazine I will be posting in the classifieds next month!

VERY well made!
