With Larry's out of business, does anyone know of an alternate source for Benelli MP95e parts?

I did hear Larry died. So no one picked up the business?

Several years back I bought Benelli 89 parts from Italy. It was no problem...everything was available at that time.

Without a source of guns or parts, that makes the Benellis a dead end. That is a real shame as they were an excellent entry level Olympic style target pistol priced at hundreds of dollars below the competition. Mine (MP90S) is extremely well made, with an excellent trigger, and very accurate. The MP95E is the econo version without the ergo grips and a different trigger mechanism.

This loss of distributorship of these pistol may be an opportunity for a new business. I believe Larry was a gunsmith (?) but you do not need to be a gunsmith to sell these Benelli target pistols.

Larry will be missed. He was my go to guy for Walther. If there was a problem with a gun, he could most likely tell you the problem without looking at it. Since he was the FFL on the license, ATF has to go thru his books before anything can move forward. They don't make em like Larry anymore. He was first class in everything he did. I was devastated by the lose. I'm sure Walther feels the pain to
The only person close to Larry in the business is Larry Potterfield. Go figure 2 Larrys
That's why I went with Pardini. Very hard to get used to though

If I remember correctly, I was told by ATF that family members can continue an FFL business in the case of the death of the owner until the new FFL gets applied and approved for.

Actually, Pardini parts are definitely available, Pardini USA. I get my Rink grips direct from Rink, easier than using a middl man. Long term I'm comfortable someone will either take up the Hammerli and Benelli parts side, or identify how to order such parts direct. I've got two MP90s, and several Hammelis. There are a number of bullseye smiths who can service them, I don't see that as a big issue. I have made a point over the years to purchase basic spare parts for these type guns for specifically this type of problem so am ok in the short run, but not the long term.

Unfortunately it might well be several more months + before it gets sorted out.:(

Benelli Pistol parts -

Hi all, new to the forum. I just picked up two MP95e's, .22 and .32. Got them delivered yesterday. I've been searching for a month for magazines - specifically for .32. No luck. As mentioned above - Larry was the only distributor and only store with parts in stock. I met Larry several times over the years, so it was a shock to the community when he passed suddenly. We are all waiting for the ATF process to complete and are hoping the business sells or the family liquidates. Until then I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs.
I contacted Benelli USA - they have nothing to do with Benelli pistols and referred me to Larry. I told them he passed and they gave me contact info for 4 companies (including Brownells) that carried parts 10 years or more ago. No luck. I had a friend at the IWS show in Germany a few weeks ago ask Benelli.IT about magazines with no luck. I've contacted numerous gunsmiths who have serviced Benelli's going back 20 years. No luck.
If anyone gets any new info - please let us know.
- Matt

Texmob:

I ordered gun parts directly from Europe several years back for a Beretta 89. I have lost the source name but today I found this web page (European?) that lists the magazines for the Benelli. You might want to go check them out.

OPPS...can only buy them in Denmark from that supplier but there may be other dealers in Europe (??).

Trigger group and .32 load data

Does anyone have any experience in servicing the trigger groups? Can they be taken apart for a thorough cleaning or is that left best for a GS. Both my pistols were safe queens since the 80s. The rear sight on my .22 is missing parts (detent ball) and the horizontal adjustment may be stripped - but I have a LGI and a redot to mount. The trigger is gritty, and the seat looks to have a lateral burr along the edge. Both the .22 and .32 supposedly had less than 100 rounds shot through them.

Also - does anyone have any load data for .32 WC loads in a MP90/MP95e?

Any suggestions for a brand of .22 that performs reliabily in these pistols?

Thanks - Matt

1.7gr of Bullseye in Lapua brass. There is a guy on the bullseye forum that sells correct diameter bullets.

Has anyone contacted Benelli directly with the U.S. spare parts availabilty and possible alternatives? Their website is listing dealers in several countries but I guess that they are mostly dealing in shotguns. There are dealers listed in Long Beach , Stoeger in Canada, France and Germany.

https://www.benelli.it/en/vendite_estero

And Triebel, Germany might have what you need, usually they order any available part.

Bear in mind, that you do need an import license for parts if the total value of the shipment is over $100. An individual can get the import license free of charge for non-restricted parts.

Thanks. I’ve been researching all the blogs on the Benelli’s and loading for the .32 long. Apparently there is anecdotal evidence that without sizing the .32 long case all the way down to the bottom of the WC, the case (can) resize the bullet small than (.313) and cause significant loss of (accuracy/precision) especially at 50M. I’m going to slug my barrel and see what the EAA guns were spec’s at. My understanding is that some .32 long brass also has an inside taper which can cause issues with long WC bullets (Starline). I read a post from a shooter who doesn’t (resize) his brass (from the same gun), and I found them lost a post about using a custom carbide button to internally size/expand the .32 long case down to the base of the WC without the case sticking or splitting. I’m interested to see if I need a (very) slight taper crimp for reliable feeding. Please post any observations- I appreciate everyone’s comments and experience. Apparently the .32 S&W long WC is a Unicorn to reload.

I picked up a case of RWS subsonic .22 field/target ammo and tested it last night in my Benelli MP95e. Functioned flawlessly with a noticeable reduction in recoil and muzzle flip compared to the RWS pistol target .22 ammo. I’m going to bench test it this weekend to see how the subsonic ammo groups at 25yds. Also going to try it in my Sig Trailside.

32's are difficult to load for and get consistent accuracy
Want some real fun, give the 32 ACP a whirl.
Bought a new mold at 60 gr. x .314 round nose for the Pardini
We will see
The problem is the twist is not fast enough on these European barrels to stabilize the bullet unless it's after market barrel
Pardini's bore starts at .313 and goes to .314
Since I like to tinker, next step is have a mold made to my own specs

I like the 32ACP, ive got a Pardini and a Hammerli SP20 in that configuration. I've got a couple new barrels on order for the Pardini, 32 long and 32 ACP, both .311 diameter, 10 twist. The faster twist is definitely helpful for the 32 long (i]ve got one on my GSP), but I've heard the faster twist doesn't help much, if any, for ACP? Looking forward to testing them.

I'm too clumsy to try molding bullets, but the T&B 32ACP cast bullets shoot pretty good. A softer cast bullet might work quite well. There's a great thread on the 32 acp on Target Talk, couple guys having pretty good luck casting bullets. It seems like they can cast softer than what a commercial caster will do, apparently too cumbersome for large scale. Good luck!

The T&B lead ACP bullets are available in .312, .313 and .314, coated or uncoated. The Hornady jacketed bullets are too expensive:D. Better selection of bullets for ACP in this country, although with the swaged Speers the 32 long is great. At 50 yards wth the ransom rest, so far I am finding the ACP a bit more accurate.

I got Douglas blanks, getting several barrels made, also a couple for my Matchguns. Jon Eulette, one of the best bullseye Smith's in the country, is doing the cutting, crowns, chambers, etc.
