Here's another I've had for awhile. Its an argentine 22 ace made for police. If you look at import mark it was imported as a 22lr

Great handgun you have there. I think I’ve only seen these discussed one other time on gun forums. I was thinking this Argentine 22 LR used the floating chamber but the magazine looks a little different than a Colt ACE and 22 LR conversion unit mag.

I haven’t owned a Colt 22 conversion since the early 80’s so I don’t trust my memory.

It uses a floating chamber like colt but the magazine is different. I think it uses.same magazine as a ballester molina 22

I bought one 27 years ago when they were being imported into the US. I also bought an extra mag, something I always do when buying surplus guns if extra mags are available. Trying to find them later becomes difficult and expensive.

They were converted from well used Modelo 1927 Argentine 45acp pistols for use by the Buenos Aires Police. I rarely shoot mine as accuracy isn't great and it shoots too high for practical use. It's still an interesting pistol and a must have for anyone collecting Argentine pistols.

How much did they cost 27 years ago? Most of them i see are parkerized finish. You'res is actually marked on the slide for 22lr where mine still has the metric measurements for 45acp. I dont think.my pistol was refinished
