is there a way to put one of these on a 702 plinkster i know riflle scopes will fit it but i noticed the red dot rails are wider the riffle scopes

You'd have to mt some weaver adapters for the Red dot ,don't know why you'd go that route ,most red dots area 5 MOA dot . Not good for fine accuray shooting ~~JMJ~~

 

I'm considering getting this rifle for my daughter. Apart from the sights, do you like this rifle? Does it feed and eject reliably? How long have you owned it?

Also, have you considered Tech Sights? Those are what I'd mount on it if I get one.

only had for a month havent got the oppurtunity to shoot it yet but heard good reviews bout it even from the guy at walmart said only complaints hes heard is about the front sight on it only paid 110.00 for it mag loads pretty easy can say that not to stiff hopefully thats a good signs it wont have no ftf/fte

 

some of the tube type bushnell red dots have a mount that fits BOTH dovetail AND weaver, you remove the sides of the mount and simply flip them over! i have one and it works great on .22 dovetail grooves. i have mine one a HENRY .22 mag lever gun. i found mine on ebay, also on amazon, 1x40mm tube style. if you want a holo style red dot--with the screen that sticks up. you will have to find an adapter to go from dovetail to weaver. they are everywhere AND cheap, usually under $10. i love the red dots, ncstar is a good brand, cheap on amazon. i am 67 and my tired ole eyes really needed the help, red dots make shooting FUN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!:bthumb:

 

I just turned 48 and am encountering significant vision issues, too. I'll be stuck with glass aiming-devices very soon. In fact, I just ordered a Millet red dot for my Buck Mark pistol!

I never was one for the lighted reticules ,but i looked thru a few and ,you might want to ck into one of those scopes .I think they would deff. be a better sighting optic than the 5 MOA red dots , You still have the crosshair but they glow and you can control the intensity ~~JMJ~~

i just added a millet tube type red dot to my 7" S&W 22a pistol---wow, what a great update! :bthumb:

i agree, i have a couple of these also ---mounted on 22 rifles, my favorite has only the 3 color dot in the middle of the crosshairs, i have another scope with the light inside the tube to light up the hairs. this is a little distracting, especially if the light is turned up too bright. look through them before you buy if possible.

 

Kill it with Millet

You might consider a Millet red dot. Its 1" tube means you'll be able to use inexpensive air gun/rimfire rings. The 3 MOA dot is small enough to offer some precision.

I just ordered one of these sights for $59.00 from Midway. Rings might cost you 10-15 bucks for the pair.
