455 & 457 parts interchangeable?

I would like to know if anyone can answer the following:

1. Are 455 & 457 barrels interchangeable?

2. Are 455 & 457 stocks interchangeable?

Thanks and please don't assume or guess unless you know for sure.
I have an interesting project in mind but need to know the answers to the first two questions.

It has been published by CZ that the barrels are interchangeable.
From their website "With the exact same swappable barrel system as the 455 and the same reliable polymer magazine system, the 457 is without a doubt the best rimfire platform we've ever fielded."

The receivers look fairly different it's likely far from a drop in.

I was thinking it would have been nice to get a CZ455 yellow thumbhole. It's factory special edition with a heavy fluted barrel,
yellow laminate TH stock flyweight trigger and machined bottom metal. Then swap out the 455 receiver for a 457 receiver.
Unfortunately this will not work.

Thanks for your help again guys!

They are direct drop in

I have the CZ457 in .22 Long Rifle and recently bought the 455 .17 HMR barrel.

The 455 .17 is a drop in with a removal of the spacer for the clip. Very easy to do, takes less than 5 minutes. All the 455 barrels are the same as they can be used in the 455 and the 457. Just make sure when you order that you get the right barrel for the gun as they have fluted as well as American and Varmint barrels.

If you do remove the barrel, make sure you torque the screws on both the barrel and the two bolts that hold the trigger guard / trigger and barrel assembly to the correct torque. I did mine to 25 inch pounds.

BTW, the 457 has a much improved trigger set up. No longer needs to replace the tension spring as it has three adjustment screws. As it comes from the factory, the trigger is pretty hard and adjusting it makes for a much better experience.

As noted above, the barrels from one may be used with the other as they attach using the same system.

And as also noted above the receivers are different and so stocks are not interchangeable between 455 and 457 models. The picture below shows the differences, key among them the location of the action screws.

I can also confirm that the barrels are definitely interchangeable. The stocks, however are an entirely different story. As stated in earlier replies, the receiver is quite different as well as the trigger/trigger guard assembly. I currently have a 20" 455 22LR barrel on my 457. Not relevant, but this particular barrel thinks Federal Auto Match actually is match ammo. I'm not going to tell it any different :D

Good luck with your project!:t
