I always wanted a chassis for my 10/22, and having a CAD-competent son with a 3D printer, we grabbed the digital calibers and got to work...and we just made it up as we went...this is our first version...I've already thought of some changes, so there will be more versions later.
Since his printer has a max printing length of about 9 to 10", we had to get a little creative, and build it modularly (is that even a word?!)....
We printed two of everything, and would take a piece out to the garage and put it in the vise and swing a 3# sledge at everything, harder and harder until it broke...this thing is TOUGH...I have ZERO concerns about component failure....in the printed QD socket, we installed the sling mount and yanked on the sling as hard as we could, no issues either.
Hopefully this will inspire other to do this.
It quite the fun little toy
It'll take a couple posts to get all the photos
