Last time I bought 22 mag I found winchester super X HP for $7 a box on clearance. If you shoot a lot of it I would suggest you buy more than 2 boxes when you see it at a reasonable price.

 

Usually do, just not lately! I already have quite a bit stashed anyhow, so it was kind of a impulse buy..

 

Locally, it's spotty. I've got a year's worth so haven't checked lately. I didn't want to end up with a couple boxes of this, a couple of that, one box of something else, so I shopped online, for 1 brand. Did the same with 17hmr.

 

I have stocked up, but locally it is spotty. Some places are out and the places that still have some, the supply is getting low! I might have to pick up one more brick before they run out totally. I don't anticipate supplies getting better for at least a year.

 

I prefer the Winchester 40 grain JHP.

There in none available locally. I checked several places on the internet late yesterday afternoon and found nothing.

 

None any place here in central Pa.

 

Hasn't been any in my area for at least 2 months or longer. Luckily I have enough on hand for a while, I hope. The only rimfire rounds of any caliber at any of the local shops or big box stores is 5 plastic boxes of Hornady 17HMR at a Bass Pro.

 

Up here in the far north (Edmonton, Canada) we feel the shortages about 4 months after the suppliers stateside.
Was at my local shop on the weekend and they said they had about 12 boxes of Hornady V-Max left...haven't received any since end of November.
All 12 boxes are in my safe now.

Every time I walked in Walmart and seen CCI 22WMR 40HP I bought it!!! So I have ammo for my 22 mags

 

Wal Mart has/had a few boxes of Winchester 45 grain Dynapoint, in a bulk pack box. 150 Rounds loose in a box for $27.99. I think I’ve seen Dynapoint in 50 round boxes, in years past.

 

I haven't bought any since last summer, but I bought enough then to suffer thru any real or perceived shortages for a year or two. Maybe.

I won't be doing any plinking with it, though, it'll be saved for killin' stuff until the supply catches up with demand.

 

My Kel-Tec and CZ did not like Dynapoint so I use it on my NAA revolver.

I just bought a Savage 93 , cause it came with 800 rounds of wmr ammo. And bought 750 rounds of wmr, at 40 cents @ . Both purchases in a parking lot!

 

Was at Walmart yesterday. Other than shot shells the only other ammo on the shelf was 4 boxes of CCI 22 WMR FMJ priced at $11.47 and 3 boxes of Winchester at $12.67. Didn't have to think twice and bought 2 boxes of the CCI. The first surprise was seeing it on the shelf and the other surprise was the price is the same as it always was.

 

Yes people get down on Walmart for alot of reasons..I do not like em myself..But during all the stupidity and fake ammo shortages..They were the the only ones not gouging..Ever

Last time i was in a gun store they were picked clean. My indoor range is empty, no appointments necessary, and i dont expect it to get better this time. Vista bought remingtons ammo factoriesand now are almost the sole source for ammo. Decreased supply due to covid and high demand due to social issues has put them in the catbirds seat. Low cost high profits, so why would they change that?

 

Must be a regional thing.

I've had to wait on a lane at the place I'm a member of (18 lanes, 2 miles from home) multiple times in the past few months. If I want a rifle lane (they only have 2), I usually show up 15min before they open and wait at the door. They've had ammo, just limited to one box with range time to avoid scalpers. They have cases lined up but won't sell them.

Other LGS have ammo as well, but at unreasonable prices.

It's starting to show up at WalMart much more frequently as well. "My Guy" at the closest one to me says almost every day now. No longer getting any 5.56/.223.
