That 60 looks like you just took it out of the box!

I could tell it was well cared for but I think whatever spilled on the barrel removing large patches of blue caused the owner heartbreak so it wound up in my LGS.

 

Terrific rehab. I would be proud to own either of those.

They both look very nice. If you know, was the new style model 60 ever sold with a hardwood stock, like walnut? I think I bought mine in 84 and I just recently broke the stock. I glued and screwed it back together, but I would rather replace the repaired stock with a nice hardwood one.

 

Admired that 783 especially. Should have seen the walnut on mine. Beautiful!! Sure liked the gold plated trigger too.
