Yes, I'm sure it would have had a lot more impact had I been at longer yardages, I just didn't have time to take it to the other stations because I was sighting in the other rifles. I'm pretty shocked at that Norma TAC-22 ammo. That's the first time I've tried it and I'm pretty impressed. It did feel like it has some kind of lube on it, which surprised me.

 

Very good price?? That was like the last new one on the planet and priced just about equal to the non MTR VPC's they cleared out 2 years ago. You need to go to church and confess to stealing that rifle , good sir.

 

It was $964, so it seemed like a good price to me, but I don't know the original price, all I know is the newer ones with the folding stock are ridiculously expensive. They have more of them at KYGUNCO (CZ-USA 457 22 LR 20ʺ 5rd - Black - FACTORY BLEM | KYGUNCO), free shipping and they didn't charge any sales tax for Texas residents.

I didn't check the part number but the link above does not indicate that these are the MTR variant of the VPC. Not that it's not a good deal but verify and know what your getting before buying. That said, theorgonal VPC (non MTR) only came in 16.5 and 24" as i recall. The MTR version was 20" but had the green chassis (which origonally sold near $1300 as I recall) . This could be an MTR 0r a standard 20" varmint barrel in a chassis. Im assuming the rifle you recievd has "Match" stamped into the barrel? If so, what was the CZ part number?

 

How bad is the "blemish" on your rifle? I couldn't see it in the picture you posted.

I think that this is the same barrel (it's 20", not 16.5"), but I'm not sure, my barrel says Match Barrel and I'm assuming that the barrel in the link would also be a Match Barrel, but CZ-USA description doesn't provide much detail. (Edit: Duh! MTR stands for Match Target Rifle, so yes, I'm sure that's the identical barrel, I should have known that)

How bad is the "blemish" on your rifle? I couldn't see it in the picture you posted.

The rifle looked brand new in the original CZ-USA box, I couldn’t find any blemish at all. Sometimes KYGUNCO buys a bulk buy at a significant discount & sells the guns as blemished. I don’t know if that’s what this is but it looked perfect to me.

 

Nice setup! Is that the mdt chassis and does it have the built in arca rail?

I built a clone, because they were impossible to find, until these "blems" popped up at KYGUNCO.

 

@HammerTech is correct, and there isn't a built-in ARCA rail, although it would be nice if there was. I have an MLOK ARCA rail that I can attach if I decide I want to add that to the rifle.

Standard wood stock cz mtr standard price is $729+ shipping. Does the precision stock version use same barrel and trigger? What is the equivalent cz gun with a threaded barrel and wood stock?

 

Same match barrel except it’s also threaded. And same silver coated trigger designating MTR.

 

Nice! I saw on another thread that the HBI would fit right at an inch and under. Amy idea how much milling needs to be be done?

It looks like CZ is just using up left over parts and putting a unique model number on them. They are making some nice rifles out of them.

 

That actually makes a lot of sense. Especially considering that only one place is selling them.

 

I have only shot 300 rounds in mine but am extremely happy with the accuracy.

 

How’s it compare to your other 457’s in terms of accuracy?
