17HMR Coyote Results? Sorry to ask...

I nailed a BIG male 'yote last year while squirrel hunting. It hit him straight on in the throat as he was running right at me. He responded to a mouth squeak and I hit him with a VMax at about 3 yards or so distance. I was hunting in a high wind and heard a squirrel bark in the distance, so I froze. Along came the trotting coyote with his nose into the wind, just a few yards away. When his head was blocked by a low bush, I gave a mouth squeak and raised my rifle. He hooked a hard left and ran right straight at me, not knowing me from a tree because of my camo, I guess. I was hunting in thick timber and was about ready to head home because of the limbs and trees blowing down when the unlucky 'yote happened by. I killed a big feral cat just a few hundred yards from there last year, too. It responded to a young squirrel squealer and came running. I nailed the cat straight on at about 100 yards, with the 17gr VMax hitting him just below the chin and traveling through into he chest and body cavity. All he did was a couple of big crazy leaps and a run just a few yards before he died. From the damage, I was surprised he ran at all. One of my hunting pals killed 5 or 6 'yotes last year with his HMR. All died in place.
