WEll, now that I'm "sorta back on line with a reduced in effeciency computer (for now) looks like my main sexcuse might go away soon. Hopefully.

Diagnosis: Abnormal cataract.

Says it should be very correctable....

...well... that's about the only thing on me that hasn't been under a knife for one reason or a motorcycle wreck..

Actually, guys, I'm tickled to death, believe it or not! Cataracts are normally easily treatable nowdays and the odds are about 2,000 to 1 in YOUR favor! 26 years ago, that eye was almost torn out of my head and all the nerves for controlling it were severed and took about 6 months to rejuvenate to where I could start pointing it where I wanted it to look. For several years, I've just assumed it was reverting to the early death it suffered, so a cataract is VERY low on my worries list. Geez. Just think. I might be able to shoot without a 1/4 inch aperature hole in my scope and no blinder curtains on my hat while I'm shooting.

And theres always the fact that I was only the width of a USBR score line away from a 250.

Tickled? Maybe it's premature, but HELL YES!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Ron,

Could you post a pic of your newly former shooting form????

Sorry to hear about the cataract, Ron, but awfully glad your visual problem is one that is very correctable. What the hell are you gonna use for an excuse now? Mine is my age..............

I hope all goes well with the surgery. I'm just waiting for my time to come. I was diagnosed with a cataract on the rear lense of my right (dominate) eye two years ago. Doc says, surgery isn't available until they can't correct to at least 20-40 vision OR it interferes with normal daily activities. I wonder if target shooting is considered normal daily activities? The permanent lense they put in provides 20-20 vision without glasses so that would be a huge change for me. Course the other eye will still need the thick lenses.

Good luck and a speedy recovery.
