Posted this in the Cooper Forum and thought I would share it here also.... Ordered a case of Eley White Rabbit HVHP's Tues. and the UPS man delivered it today, Thanks CSS for the great service! Fired 10 5 shot groups at 51 yds. .40, .37, .23, .35, .41, .47, .47, .39, .35,and .48 ctc for an average of .43 . For the most part the groups showed horizonal stringing, slight breeze swirling about. Then for the kicker, I set a target against an old burn barrel 117 yds ( all laser verified ) and shot a five shot group. 5 shots .52 ctc with 4 going .31 . No use shooting that far again, will never duplicate that one !! Overall extremely happy with a 1300 fps hollowpoint load shooting these groups. Tree rats better hide this fall ........

Wow ...

Forget the flier ...

.31 moa @117 yds with a hot .22 ... in a mild breeze?

Look for the U.S. Olympic Team to come calling.

Ron
I'll hold my breath....... :D
Deteriorating eyesight ... so sad ...

That's a great group, but not as good as one of your earlier posts ...

Shot a nice group with my Cooper LVT .17 HMR tonight...
3 shots .03 CTC @102 yards .... Don't bash me about group size, average around the low 6's but the stars must have been right for this one

Ron
Yeah, that must be awful to only shoot sub half inch groups at past a hundred yards! :D I have a tough time doing that at 50......... :p
This new set of groups were shot with my .22 LVT and a hyper velocity round. White Rabbit is around 1310 fps with a 37.5 grain hollow point ..... 1/2" groups at 100 are hard to come by, but the sneak in there every now and then (;

Hmm ...

I am totally blown-away by these numbers.

Here's another (earlier) post ...

Just out shooting my new Cooper LVT .17 HMR.... After a few groups decided to stretch out the yardage a bit. 4 shots at 170 yards into a 1 1/4" group with 3 of those going into a nice 1/2" cluster...This the best a Cooper can do ?

That's a long way to send that little .17 pill ... I don't think William Tell would "stand and deliver" on that one.

Ron
Ron,
I've fired a 5 shot 1/2" group with my .17 CZ American at 100 yds ........ Topped with a 4X BSA scope... You shoot enough and a few are bound to fall in...

Remington,

If your interested in the White Rabbit you should try a few boxes first, didn't tell you how it shot in my CZ or Volquartsen barreled 77/22 ........

On second thought buy a couple cases, if you don't like it you can sell it to me at a discounted price (;......
Just a little update on the White Rabbit. Groups holding from 1/4" > 3/8" if the winds still and I do my part ( no flags ). Wind was dead tonight so I clicked up 4 1/4" of elevation and fired three 5 shot groups @ 100 yds. , .44 .55 and the last .75 with a called flier that ruined another .44 group. I have whacked a few starlings out to 80 yds. and this hollowpoint will perform.

Jeff,
I got some "White Rabbit" from CSS yesterday and it shoots little tiny ragged holes from my Annie 164 Sporter at 35 yards. The skwerls had better be wearing kevlar helmets this year.:D

And it's $2 a box cheaper than the Lapua HVHP!!;)
That is one great song....
White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane

One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small,
And the ones that Mother gives you don't do anything at all.
Go ask Alice when she's ten feet tall. ...

Sorry I couldn't help myself.

Regards Bill :)
I went to the website but which ones are they? Do any of you have a direct link?
They are the Eley High Velocity Hollow Point, fourth from the bottom of the Eley list. Click "ammunition" on this page:

3.50 a box.
"White Rabbit" isn't the actual name---there's just a white rabbit on the box.
My bl-22 likes the white Rabbit even with a tough trigger I can routenly get under 1/2 " groups at 60 yards my best at 60 yards is .300.I hate this because it out shoots all my other rimfires, with worked/fine triggers. Its also a great hunting round.
