Good Scope Under $400...

I have a Bushnell 6-18x40 Trophy scope on my 17V. They cost about $225 new. This is a good clear scope, and the AO is accurate out to 100yds. I use the same scope for shooting Field Target competition with my airguns. The Leupold 6.5-20x40 is a better choice for around $400 used. When I get the extra $, I'm going to search for one on one of the auction sites.

I've a Bushnell Trophy 4-12x40 AO mounted on my Ruger All Weather 77/17. I'm grouping 5 shots 1.2" at 100 yards out of a hot barrel with Rems and Hornaday's. Dropping off the "flyer" my four shot groups are measuring .8". I'm impressed with the clarity of this mid level $200 scope.

I am trying to decide on a scope for my Ruger 77/17 VM/BBZ, I would like to keep it under $400. I have thought about the Weaver V-24 not sure I like the reticle, the V-16 is nice. I have also looked at the Leupold VX II 6-18x40. I plan on shooting paper and small fuzzy animals. Any thoughts would be great.
Burris Signature Select 8-32x44mm.
A tad out of your price range - $460 - but that included shipping. Check out theopticzone.com
