What is your favorite target ammunition?
Ok, I tried to compile as complete a list as I could...some of these I haven't heard of before...and I am sure I missed a few, but there are seventy-six choices so hopefully everyone can find something to their liking.
I was going to make this one long poll but just when I got started I found I could only post twenty-five choices per poll so I break this down into a plinking, target, and hunting poll. I know these choices will not satisfy everyone, so "Other Ammunition" is at the bottom of each list.
To shorten the three lists I had to make a few compromises. I am not trying to make any value judgements regarding a particular rounds suitability for plinking, target, or hunting. I was just trying to get down to twenty-five choices per poll. Please feel free to share your comments on the "Other Ammunition" in this thread.

Cool, I knew there was stuff out there I never even heard of. Where do you get that brand? I am from a smal town with no selection and have to drive twenty miles for bulk and sixty for target. I like midwayusa.com. They sent me some ammo that broke out of the box, I called and told them about it, not to complain but to help them with shipping.
They apologized, sent me a new box, and let me piggy back some stuff I wanted with the shipment at no cost for shipping.

I usually use CCI Standard Velocity in my model 41's but do use the Federal 711B in my 10/22 with good results. Mostly hunt though and use CCI Subsonic HP's in the pistols and rifles.
I voted for Wolf Match Target, but I also like Eley Match EPS

Fiocchi SM 320 Super Match. My new rifle loves it. It's much louder than I expected and it looks pretty wierd. Looks like the lead was painted silver with a small paintbrush.

I like the CCI Greentags, when I decide to splurge. The Standard is about as good, though an occasional flyer shows up. I don't shoot competition, just for personal enjoyment.
FWIW, I've pretty much settled on 2 different rounds that my rifle likes. Wolf M/T for "serious" target shooting and Fed AE 38 gr HP for everything else. (Although Blazers would be another "all around" cartridge. Cheap and fairly accurate...)

SK JagD Standard Plus is shooting better for me than the Wolf MT. I know they are supposed to be the same but my gun says different. Could be just the different lots. Wolf MT used to be the favorite.

The Wolf MT and ME shoots about the same for me from my Annie, my Cooper, and my VQ barreled 10/22.

I'm going to guess ammunition used by the Club" and "informal" target shooter is primarially choosen by one avaiability and second price ? \
"IF" my theory is correct, the use of Wolf MT & ME will drop be replaced by the "NEW" Federal 711b ! As the Federal is as accurate as the Wolf plus 1/2 the price ?
