Going to my sister's house. I have no idea what food will be there.
I'm bringing a brisket, making some cookies and helping the wife make Thai papaya salad.
She was going to make Boat soup but I told her no one there would eat it.

WindShooter......I've never put pralines in sweet potatoes but I make the best pralines in the world. I think I will make some for Thursday

Years ago would trailer home a big pit the day before Thanksgiving. That night 6 or 8 friends would come over and we would good all night. There would be all kinds of wild game and anything else people wanted to cook. There could be anything fom a whole pig to a rattlesnake or two. There would also be beer and a couple of bottles of good whiskey.
Morning would come and everyone would leave with whatever meet they had brought.
After about 3 years the wives put a stop to it. Most of us were pretty much useless Thanksgiving Day......but it was a lot of fun.

I don't know that I would fill "full" without some kind of meat. Kind of like having a salad for lunch. Guess it's habit

My heart goes out to the guys alone on holidays. God knows I have spent many a holiday alone before at a Jack-in-the-box or whatever else I could find open.
