I got $150. out of the SS barrel and gray & black laminated stock I had on my 77/17. The gun was brand new and had never been fired.

Custom Gun-stock.com stock and Green Mt. 20" SS fluted barrel on the way to replace the missing parts. Varmints beware.:D

Custom Gun-stock.com stock ...
Tree,

Could give us the exact URL of gun-stock.com.

"gun-stock.com" takes me to a place that sells clothing.

Regards BillB:)

My bad. It is Rifle-stock.com

I ordered the Prone/Culbertson stock in black & gray laminate with a 3" wide forarm to fit the 77/22 action with a 1" barrel. I like the thumbhole stocks and thought about getting one, but I figured it would be easier to opperate the bolt with this stock. The only down side to this deal is that they are back logged 6-8 weeks and the stock is in the ruff so I will have to be fit and finish it before it goes to the field.

I was wondering the same thing. I am going to slap a green mountain 20" SS on my Ruger 77 and I was wondering what the SS grey barrel was worth. I am going to see if my smith thinks letting out the stock is worth it or if it would be better to just get another stock so I might have one of the laminate stocks for sale also.

Hapnin, if you would take $50 for it, I'll buy it. I have a 77/22 Magnum and I would like a sporter barrel for it. I'll pay shipping also.

Also, before I go and offer to buy something...does anything need to be done to the barrel to make it work on a 77/22 Mag? I mean, is headspacing, bolt-up, everything else about the rifles the same, or do I need to have the barrel modified somewhat to make it work?

Wilded is the one who started the thread about the barrel,I was just trying to help get it back in the direction that it was started. It was kinda gettin away from his question. But I do have a 77/17 barrel and would also be interested in the answer/opinions.Thanks though,I haven't had mine long enough to know if I want to mod it yet.:p

I figure I got $75. for the gray SS barrel and $75. for the black and gray laminate stock. I had no use for either of them. They were just going to become clutter on my work bench and I got enough to cover the cost of the new Green Mt. barrel.

Yes, the barrel will bolt right up to your 77/22 mag.

If it fit the factory 77/22MAG stock, I would go $70 easy.

Save me the cost of the Stock.

Don't know the Ruger Price factory list price for the barrel.

Green Mountain still had the blem 17 barrels for $70.

VBBZ Barrel

I have a 77/17 VBBZ barrel and laminate stock I would get rid of. The barrel has about 60 or less rounds through it and the stock is perfect as I only shot a box of shells or so and then set it in the gun cabinet cause it is too cold out to plink right now.

So throw me an offer for the barrel and the stock or I would sell them separately???
