22-250? One of my favorite loads for paper and general use is the Speer 52 gr HP 38.6 grains of WW760 and Fed 210 Match primers. Good for half inch groups on a good day.

Any good 52 will do but my old Remington 788 loves those Speers:bthumb:

the loads are .223 and I have yet to find the right load. I get around 1" and no better using Varget or BLC2
Those look like Berger 52 gr or 55 gr Match which are pretty good bullets (or indeed, as I first missed, Speer 52 gr -- I haven't had good results with Speers, either). What rifle, barrel length and twist rate are you shooting? Either Varget or BL-C2 should serve well if you are shooting 1/12" twist. If you have a 1/9" twist you will do better with a heavier bullet. Even with the 1/12" you might go up to a Hornady 55 gr V-Max or try the Sierra 52 gr HPBT or 53 gr HP if you haven't tried those yet. Try a box of the Black Hills 52 gr BTHP and see how they shoot for you. 25 grains of Varget is usually a good starting point. Shortening the "jump" from the ogive to the lands may help, to, if you haven't measured this.

Love the knives and you website. I think I may have been the first 5 of the first 7 viewers, BTW. :bthumb:
