Hey Gang- I was browsing Numrich aka GunPartsCorp, and happened across a listing for a walnut barracuda stock, new for $121.87. I took a chance and ordered one, and it is the real deal! New, unused, solid walnut.

Not as cheap, but it’s a lefty in Nutmeg.

Being an Altamont, the fit should be excellent.

The Barracuda is at home when benched; courtesy of its wide forearm.

I have one made by Boyd's for a Benjamin airgun.

Not really impressed with Boyd's inletting though-----too loose.

Truth here. Altamont inletting is excellent, IME.
Boyd's, not so much.
I upsize to 1/4-20 TD screws and pillar + rear tang bed all of my custom 10-22s, so Boyd's inletting isn't a bother. At $121 for a new Walnut Barracuda, I couldn't pass & I'm happy with the buy.

Mine arrived today and I replaced the Abominator Terminator stock I had on one of my rifles. It looks good, has a little grain showing, overall a nice improvement.
Looking at Stocky’s Stocks web site, they still offer a Terminator stock, but I think they may have smartened up and no longer scratch ‘Terminator’ on the side of it.

Mine showed up last night, very well packaged with lots of bubble wrap and I think I got lucky!

Thanks Doc, I was kind of kicking myself when I ordered it thinking, "Oh Lord what are you buying into now."

But as soon as I unwrapped it it was love at first sight. My bride is even impressed which means I may lose it down the road LOL

Well, it's nice and all... Will a .920 barrel fit? Too bad it's a standard barrel stock. ;););) It'sa backaruda?
Would someone please weigh their stock? If its under 2#'s I might talk myself into one.

It gets deeper by the minute Toomany22s.

I gave most of my hopped up 10/22s to my grandsons and what I have left are either tied up in the twin Gatling gun or already dolled up.

So I decided I need a stainless action/barrel and a silver scope because that strikes my fancy. I Just happen to have a couple left over Kidd trigger kits.

Another friend/member heard my plans and piped up with "I'm sending you a Green Mountain polished blued barrel" and I said "No No No!!" ...but it was too late. 🤠

So now I'm going to be building two and if I get out of this deal for under a grand I'll be lucky.

Rimfire Central...more like "Enablers Central" LOL

Oy Vay,

I've been waiting for Altamont to get their act together and offer some stocks again for a KIDD tapered barrel build, but it looks like that may never happen...so these may be a good alternative...not like I need any more 10/22 stocks :p

That's a beaut Doc! Makes mine look plain!:pirate:

I, too, broke down and ordered one. Hope I hit the lottery too. But just what I needed -- already have three extra stocks on the shelf, including a Raptor. Probably will need to find a home for one of those (but NOT the Raptor) -- for my grandson, methinks.

Has anybody gotten a plain looking one? These are all beautiful. I ordered one, also.
Is there any finish work that needs to be done with these? Is it well inletted? Pillars? What's this about changing the action screw to 1/4-20?
