690 8
Hey fellows, hope all is well and everyone gets a lil trigger time this weekend! I am thinking about getting this barrel:

Volquartsen Barrel Ruger 10/22 17 Hornady Mach 2 (HM2) THM Tension .920" Diameter 1 in 9" Twist 18-3/8" Carbon Fiber Black with Compensator

I would kindly ask all rfc members that have this barrel proudly display pics of the beauty, and if u can give me a review it would be much app.

Secondly and most importantly is the price, is 244.00$ not just a non-walking price tag, if its not to much to ask, what are some of the prices u guys payed for it. Thanks as always guys!

thanks pal, always good to pic a smart rimfire fan's brain from across the pond, would u say that in the U.K. primarly the only calibers used for hunting are the rimfires, b/c u guys have foxes and a lot of ground runners..i.e. squirrel, rat, hell who really cares if its a note-worty shot! And also just saw on fox news a week or so ago where they did a massive, nation-wide survey asking U.K. citizens whether they bel. in global warming or not, and overwhelmingly app. U.k. folks have a brain, and said al gore is a trash bag, and global warming is voodoo science.......Hell today one of the U.S.'s tallest mtns/glaciers, Mt. shasta i bel. is the right spelling, but anyway since 1950 the three major glaciers, have not only remained the same in the face of such daunting conditions as that of the big bad WARMER, they actually juiced and significantly got larger. Whats next, the liberals are gonna tell us that now we need extra emmision SUV's, unleash the vast north american coal supply, and hell for good measures lets drill in Gulf of Mexico/ Anwar nat. park, and throw up some new nuke power plants! Hopefully the pinko's have solved this this plague of a nightmare we as not just americans, but as one common man around the planet share. Thanks to the good lord himself, he put these wonderful socialist/commies to tell me and many others how to live our lifes, cause w/o them hell thats right i would prob. be doing a lot more trigger time, and a whole lot less screwing w/ the daily liberal speed bumbs to my 2nd amendment, oh well, its just " THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS" and besides Nancy"paris hilton's lil toy dog" Peloski, and the ever awesome Harry reid, and so many other politicians in america clearly have done more for this country, and have much more knowledge on democracy...well ok communism but whos really callin em out, than those idiots named jefferson, madison, franklin, etc...hope i got there names right! lol sorry for the soap box, just absolutely am pissed cause i have tried everywhere to find that new breed of dog, app. Nancy Peloski is the only one of here royal bloodline, perhaps once she enters westminster, i can have one of here puppies if she decides to find another handsome dog, say a retriever or such... i already have the pink rhinestone color w/ matching lease!

Absolutely well-done on that lil bad mamma jamma! U find yours at midway by the way, thanks awhole lot for that post bud!

I'm glad you like her, she's my favorite. The stock is a Fajen Thumbhole Sporter from Midway. I went with the 18.5" over the 16" simply because with this long a stock the 16" would have a funny sawed off look. Another reason for this stock and barrel choice was she was intended as a general purpose hunter/plinker/target rifle and not a single-tasker. That was before I bought or built up 3 more 22s. The balance point is the magazine release.

This rifle has had two scopes on it. This one is a (deep breath - long name) Nikko-Stirling Platinum Nighteater 4-16x44 that I had on her while her Simmons 6.5-20x50 Whitetail Classic scope was in for repair. That Nikko was never happy at 50yrds and the Simmons is back on it. The WTC is a very good scope but suffers from fat reticle and it's replacement is on order - a Weaver V24 6-24x42. If you are going to put that much money into building up a slick rifle I strongly suggest going with a quality scope and not one of the ChiCom POS cheapies.

Build:
Vorquartsen 18.5" THM CF barrel
Fajen Thumbhole Sporter (bedded)
Clark Custom trigger job measured at 2.7lbs
CPC bolt
Power Custom extractor
VQ charging handle and mag release

Simmons scope.
