1917... I'll be adding another chart soon.

critical bass... and the rest... what part of a joke is so hard to understand, that you'd continue pouring out your comments?
First off... the .22lr shotshell would be enough to blind most intruders(at 21+ feet) it throws a wide pattern that would cut into and tear up their eyes.. unless they were expecting shotshell to the face... they wouldn't be able to SEE to get ahold of me...
Unless of course, they had some psychic sixth sense that allowed them remote viewing..

However, as I said... in a real defense situation, I'D HAVE MY 9MM...and trust me, I probably know more about self defense then the majority of you... please don't try and preach...

With due respect to all of you and I do respect you, let's get back on topic. This is RimfireCentral, .22 cal stuff and we're talkin dang P-22s and how to turn em into reliable shootin irons.

I suggest enough comments on self defense, there are plenty of other forums for that and as we all know while a .22 will sure kill you it's not anywhere close to the cal of choice. Rat shot is really for rats and won't kill them very effectively at any kind of distance. I know, I've shot em in a rifle and a rifle will hold the pattern tighter than a pistol. Here's hopin none of us ever have to use a gun in self defense. There will be "no fun" in it regardless of all the TV baloney you constant see to the contrary, just like Carolina Curley said.

I still can't find any of those Winchester Dynapoints. I don't think they sell them around here. I haven't shot enough variety, too cheap I guess but I would like to hear some results of several thousnad rounds of this brand vs. this brand like Illogicalmethod started. :) safe shooting 1911M

Got an ex Marine at my Academy sporting goods store, he always wants to know about the P-22 and how the test is going and we usually swap a few tales. Last week it was how he missed a big buck with Remington .270 and won't shoot Remingtons anymore. Was lucky to get two tries, both clicks on dud rounds. Buck got away. Tried other ammo, worked fine. I've never had problems with center fire that I can ever remember but I guess it happens.

Anyway, I ain't about to go calling a 220lb Marine a liar, even if he is retired and I can run fast. He was working behind the gun counter too. :p 1911M
