Had a funny experience on Flinders Island 2 years ago. I was in an improvised hide, whistling in foxs, when all of a sudden I heard a loud swarking

Now that scared the liveing heck out of me.

I swung around and saw this Feral North American turkey.

I swung up the 12Ga/.223 Savage combination and aimed the redot for the turkeys head and fired.

I zipped that ugly turkey in the head at only 20 metres away, with the .223.

Now that made a real mess, packed away the gun, gathered up the turkey and took it back to the farm.

It was promptly plucked and set in the smoke house over-night.

MMMMMMM-smoked turkey, yum.
