I bought a new 10/22 mag. a couple months ago. It functions perfectly and is a lot of fun but I'd like to improve the trigger. The rifle is going to be used just for casual target shooting and plinking. I see that several trigger kits are available. Should I purchase the Volquartzen 10/22 Magnum Action Kit or is there anything else available that is as good or better for my purpose and not as expensive? A Green Mountan ss fluted barrel and Hogue stock are already on order.

I bought the Volq Magnum kit and have never looked back. All the aftermarked parts out there are pretty much the same price range. For the Magnum I bought the entire trigger kit, for a couple of my 10/22 LR I just bought the hammer. The Volq kit is a bit smoother and crisper than just the hammer but for a plinker and occasional target or two, I'd just go with the hammer. Lots cheaper. You can always upgrade later after you become addicted. ;)
