Got a email from Tippmann. They had their 22 in stock. Was thinking about ordering some but does anyone know who makes them ?

There was speculation it was Aquila, Tippmann came out and directly said it wasn't. A google search brings up Cascade Ammo (CI) of Mexico, I don't know if that's accurate, but they do make a 1,050fps standard velocity, which matches the Tippmann standard velocity...on FPS anyway. Federal also makes a 1,050fps SV ammo. They do have their own head stamp, so that definitely makes it harder to figure out.
The original run was Cascade International in Mexico. Don't know about this latest batch.
Thank you both . Won`t waste my money on it .

I'm all for cheap ammo for plinking...but I won't waste any more money on them. Function was mostly ok but nothing I own would do much better than an inch. At 25 yards. I let my kid burn through the last 200 in his Ruger MKIV as fast as he could go.
right now as I type this, you can buy TOP shelf, CCI 'AR Tactical' 22lr for 10 cents a round, free shipping, from PSA and maybe other vendors .... M4-22 luuuuvs this stuff

I have several thousand rounds of the Tippmann ammo and wasn't impressed. I had issues with the head separating from the casing while loading. Never had that with any other ammo. The Tippmann ammo now sits in the back, bottom shelf all by its lonesome. Tippmann makes great guns but would've gone with a higher quality ammo manufacturer. It may have cost more but at the end of the day, quality counts.
