We survived Snowmageddon...

A light dusting, gone in 4 hours, just enough to give a nice wintry feel. :)
36, more rain/snow to come shortly, and over the next few days.

On the fence about going down to the park. I've lots to do around here.
...I really should check the P.O. box.

Ordered some more camera gear (just 1/2 doz SD cards), and a toy for Mrs. Cow.

That's life in the great PNW

LRS is full party of eight with wind conditions to challenge your skills and patience. Primary wind is 5mph plus so cranking in lots of windage corrections. The .223 Wylde with a 69 grain HPBT would only get me onto the 1/2 mile targets but no further. Shot off of the portable PRS barricade while standing and also kneeling. Addition of one more weight to the forearm of the rifle made for a very yet subtle improvement. 👍

This last Saturday shot well with the PCC but not as well Sunday as the targets were further away. Currently using an Ultradot Match Dot II optics but thinking I might be better off with some more magnification. Will try the Vortex Stryke Eagle right after LRS and if it does work will purchase a Primary Arms dot with a 2x magnification and a 9mm BDC reticle as recommended by my bud who designed the TTI TR 9 I’m using.

You all can have a good laugh. I was given a senior citizen discount yesterday. Part of me wanted to be offended. But part of me was like cool I saved money. .
Waitress in a restaurant in Cody WY gave me a senior citizens menu, . I was only 49 at the time. Wife and family got a good laugh at my expense. 😁

Sometimes it’s best to just buy new. 15 years for a faucet is good. Grohe replaced mine for free since they “had” a lifetime warranty. Not anymore. Nothing sucks worse than climbing under a kitchen sink on your back changing a faucet. The wax cartridge in the shower temperature regulator is a bear to replace. Got that myself, luckily the lady for Grohe customer service knew her stuff and sold me the correct cartridge. Paid a plumber to change it, I hate plumbing.
This is the second time in 15 years on fixing the Kohler, and can be expected IMO. But a company like that hanging you out to dry, not making replacement parts after 15 years sucks. Spent a lot of money on their product when we built. Wham bam thankyou mam.

I installed many faucets while doing repairs, remodels and new house builds over the years and had the opportunity to experience many different types and the troubles that go with them. I chose the simplest easiest to fix Deltas to install here, very easy and fast to replace parts. Two knob versions too, even simpler, no balancing valve parts, no temperature regulators no nothing. More complex equals sooner broken. The only wear parts are a rubber cup seal and a spring that goes beneath it. 24 years on them now and functioning like new.
When I called our plumber he told me to get a faucet then call him for install. I ask them if they had a recommendation, and they said Moen because they still have a lifetime guarantee on internals. Had enough of the single pull, and went with the two knob this time.

Cashed in the gas points, and got 25 gallons at $1.89 a gallon. Filled two 2 gallon cans, and dribbled the rest in the dump truck. It was close to E and still wants more.
Wind is howling, said to hit 40-50 mph in a few hours.

A few piles of deer pellets turned into perzactly 10 areas of loosely scattered frozen raisin size turds scattered around the FY. 20min of raking em into a short handled scoop broom catcher thingy with a 9"W plastic rake and my sinus flowage was drifting sideways into the neighbor's yard in the 21º 30mph breeze. E-yuck!
RIP Tubby XXI ya filthy animal. Dang thing is huge, almost the size of a full grown cottontail wabbit.

Back from the Urologist, he said I was only the second person he'd had to laugh through the Stint removal, the other guy was an ex-cop too...said we were dangerous, lol.
If I’m understanding what the procedure might entail I can think of several sensations but one that would cause me to laugh isn’t one of them. 😖

So this install is geauxing slow.

I spent a good hour figuring out where to drill a pilot hole in the front locker, then realized that the exhaust would be running about four inches from my plastic 37 gallon fuel tank.

Started taking another look at the rear. Found the perfect place. Spend a good while making sure my pilot hole was in the right place.
Nailed it.
New 5" hole saw snapped it's pilot bit as soon as it bit sheetmetal. Installed an extra from the shop. Hole drilled looks professional thru the ply floor, dow insulation, and sheetmetal of the truck bed.
Everything is fitting perfectly together. I need to re-watch some YouTube vids to recall directions on the fuel pump and fuel filter.
I need long sheet metal screws to fasten it all down.
The exhaust is going to exit from the driver side wheel well. The fresh air intake is resting on top of the spare tire assembly.
Tomorrow:
Plumbing the fuel lines.
Electrical.
Cutting hole for duct work.
Fasten exhaust.
Building a box around the unit to protect it.

This is going to be very cool, I think.

When I'm done, I'll take all of the pictures and compile them into a blog.

In other news: 1.25" of rainfall equals 89.999999999999 points. That is the amount that fell this morning.

I'm ready for the weekend. Still battling some chest crud from the flu, but I have been working this week trying to get some of the year end stuff done. There's a long way to go to accomplish that!

Cindy is still about the same. Trying to get her eating more on her own and then eventually out of the hospital and into rehab. This is day 48 for her and Kent in the hospital. Kent is ready to sleep in a bed again! He's been sleeping in the hospital recliner. At least he has taken some time to get out
occasionally. He has had to do some work on his car and take care of some things at their house.

We are finally going to have Thanksgiving this weekend. The flu bug is gone, so Sabrina's family is coming Saturday. The turkey is thawing and they're planning all the extras. Mother-in-law is making some banana pudding especially for me! We will get to watch the SEC Championship game at 3pm CST. Georgia Bulldogs vs. LSU Tigers. Hoping it's a good game! Don's Tigers took a hard loss last week and I suspect they will want to end their year on a more positive note by beating the #1 team. I wish them well!

Time to kick back and relax. Y'all have a great evening!!!

Snewing outside. Temp at 23°A

Mr. Brown dropped off a box of personal and Christmas grab box items. I was surprised by the ceramic sharping stick I ordered to replace the one I dropped.

I should have read the dimensions that are wrong. The rod is 1", overall length is about 16" This thing could be a billy club, a tire thumper or a fish whacker. I guess I'll never wear it out.

Looks like the surgeon's "Might be a little sore after" might be more than a little as I just got a robocall a script of hydros is ready. gulp!
Had a friend that had hers done late summer. She's doing well, with no problems, and said it wasn't horrible discomfort wise. You'll do fine Marine. Wish you well, and gives us a post op update when you can.

Had a plumber tell me to avoid the pull down faucet spray nozzles incorporated into the main faucet. The separate sprayers are fine. Have delta and Moen here. Kohler is nice stuff, but in my opinion, way overpriced.

Werking up on cleaning up the ole geezer bachelor clutter of valuable stuff in the basement and found a new, but without box, kitchen faucet. I vaguely remember someone giving it to me years ago.
