Wish you could send some of that rain my way. We've only had a couple of light showers the last few weeks and the pollen here is pretty bad. I can hose it off the trucks, porch, etc and the next day everything is back to juice green.

About 150 points so far since the precipitation started this morning. Going by my old school glass cylinder rain gauge we've received about 150 points so far today. That totals over 3 inches in the last 4 days, 3 of which it has rained. Weasels say dry tomorrow with temps in the 40's. Rain returns Thursday and Friday. With the frequent rain we've been getting, you would think this was the PNW, NOLA, or FLA. Since March 1, we've had only 16 days that were more sun than clouds with rain or snow about half the days. Tired of all the wet, cloudy chilly weather. Back yard is a swamp again. Rain, rain go away. Wish I could send it to places that need it. I need to talk to my farmer friend, to see if they can even get in the fields. Think I'll lynch a weather weasel or two. Won't change the weather, but it will feel good!
Ole Geezer weather rant over.
I live an exciting life.

My son-in-law has a nice pick-up that someone sprayed with bed liner from new. Very little rust for its age, and he really doesn't care if one of my grandkids throws a ball or a frisbee at it.<snip!>
I thought the truckbed liner was genius. I love the finish at the range.
That’s a cool old tractor, grandpa had an old tricycle wheel Deere with a two or row plow to where he had to drive one rear tire in the rough plowed ground.Grandpa's tractor looked something like this:

His son, my uncles, first tractor was a '59 Deere. I think a 430.
For some reason only known to Fordaholics refurbed Broncos are bringing the big bucks @ vehicle auctions.A guy I know, rebuilt a Ford Bronco, after all of the metal repairs, the inside and inside of the body were sprayed with a super heavy coat of truck liner
Very nice.Today it was my lovely Browning Safari grade 222, . . .
Phil, If you will send the Water Dept. a note regarding your mom's condition/circumstances along w/a copy of the receipt for the causative culprit, they will likely make a substantive adjustment in her favor.Ran up to Walmart and the pharmacy this morning and gave them all some money.Carried Mom to the doctor this afternoon to get blood drawn for the 6 month recheck on the benign monoclonal gammopathy test. Go back in a week to see the doctor for a results consult. Then over to the optometrist to pick up her new glasses. They must have gotten the prescription very close as she could read down to the 20/25 line and read up close very well. She was happy with them. At the same distance I could read down to the 20/13 line so I know my lens prescription is perfect! Got home and fired up the older lawn mower and mowed grass until it got too dark to see well enough to go any further. That older Craftsman mower has a single cylinder 20 HP Kohler engine on it and gets better fuel economy than the newer mower of mine with the B&S V twin 24 horse engine. Used up all the gas that I had on hand anyways, so I had to go to the store and spend some more money. Four bucks a gallon this year is going to eat some dollars up to keep everything mowed.
Mom had a broken ballcock on a toilet last month and didn't know about it for a while; I replaced it for her but a lot of water had already gotten gone. Got the water bill: $180.00! Our water bills are usually the minimum of $21.41. We got a letter from the water department, rates going up 11%.

Were I younger I'd give some thought to hiring migrants to sow and harvest.
Going to the top;
when in VN one of the options was putting my wages "on the books", taking whatever pocket change, then collecting it all when going home while thinking positive in the meat grinder eh? If ya couldn't trust Uncle I mean who could ya trust yano? Silly boy, while still hospitalized I requested my hard earned wages that mysteriously went poof according to REMFs.It took my congressman to get but 1/2 back. I quit voting until Hollywoods Bonzo wanted/went to go to the WH. shaking head icon
Gonna be buggy again Lon.... 40º on the button
We had a 1920's International harvester "H", a 30's "M", a 40's "M" and not sure of the vintage of the 300. Two bottom plows, 6 foot disks, a pull behind Allis Chalmers 6 foot combine....Started "farming" with a Farmall cub then graduated to a Farmall super C sixty years ago. Neither had room for a waste basket.
