Hi Lastshot!!! Welcome back!!!

Good seeing you too Don!

It was a very nice day today. I got to hang with the grandkids for a bit and then went to my mom's house and spent a few hours with my family.

I ate waaaaaaay too much today!

Currently at home watching FTWD. It will be an early night for me.

D long. Glade you go t the gas mower up and running. Have you looked at Stihl‘s electric (coal power) robotic mower? You cab set it up to run at night, when it get low on battery it finds the charger. Saw one at a trade-show a couple years ago and was pretty cool.

We went over to the daughter and son-in-law’s for dinner of crab stuffed deer steak. It was very good.

Spring is here we found the first morel of the year, ended up finding 17. Most were real small so we marked them and will come back tomorrow to check on their progress.

Tomorrow is opening day of turkey season, rather than go out and set up. Think I’ll wait til I hear one and go to him. See how it works.

Had I known ahead of time that I would be relocating the modem/router to the top of the kitchen cabinets, I would have looked for a lower profile one. That said, it looks a lot more obvious in this picture than in person. Obviously you’re not normally walking through there looking up towards the ceiling.

I might be able to make a wooden shelf that would allow me to lay it on its side and still be open for ventilation. Not on my priority list at the moment though.

View from up above. I put the connections plate as close to the cabinet as I could get it so everything would be low enough to not see (except for that tall modem end🧐).

I was going to wire an outlet up top too, but the extension cord isn’t bugging me enough to seriously consider that at the moment. It hides nicely behind the refrigerator. If I do the outlet later, there’s an outlet 16 inches to the right of my connections plate and approximately 4 feet down that I could tie into fairly easily.

Just for fun, I put the modem on its side……

A simple slightly elevated and ventilated platform wouldn’t be that hard to make! 😃

Drill a small hole in the top of the back of the cabinet and a small hole in the bottom back and staple the cable to the back of the inside of the cabinet and out the bottom. Nice and neat. No one will ever see the hole in the top or bottom.

That would work, but I would have the modem cord and Lutron bridge cord running through. Plug on the extension cord is too big to run through.

Range was shut today, so range day is Monday this week. Not sure what's coming with me, but it will be a 22, and maybe a 32. Probably both German in origin.

Time will tell - in the meantime, I hope you all had/are having a wonderful Easter.

Cut the plug off the extension cord and put a new plug on after you run it through the cabinet.

Great to see pix of the olde crew Don.
Maybe some kind soul will help me. How do you quote content in a post, and how do you edit your own post? Thanks
Either hit reply in the post you want to quote...
or click quote in the bottom of their post and when you hit post {insert quotes} will show up in a box next to post reply and click that and then your actual reply.
Click the 3 dots(top right) in your reply for a drop down edit thingy.... You can't delete your post nor move sentences or words around unless you delete em and write the words or whatever you want in your reply. Then there's a box on the bottom left of your reply that says Save which will post your reply when clicked.
You could always futz with someone's post in the Test Forum to practice on too.

ETA- reread my post as its been edited several times because of speel check.

JN,

To quote a specific post, click reply in that post on the bottom left and a reply box with that post opens up.

If you just want to quote part of a post, highlight it and then click on it.

To edit your post, click on the three dots on the upper right hand corner. A menu opens up and you can select edit.
