I guess I’m not as observant as I’d like to think. I only just now noticed the title line that was above each post in the old software is not in this one. I was going to suggest that a new weeks chat could be acknowledged by the post title line but that won’t work here.

Slept until 8 A. Coffee is on. 58° and calm at the moment. Weasels are saying the blanket will come off gradually and it will end up sunny w/wind NE 15-20 G 25. Jack says there are no bunnies in the back. I may give him an egg for his being such a good egg. Half thinking to go and try to buy an Easter ham butt to smoke from Kroger's where they will be blowing them out cheap, if they have any left. Last year, got a nice one for 49¢/lb. The one I bought after Christmas or wazzit New Year's(?) was 77¢/lb. Need some pastries, coffee cake or cinnamon somethings for the bride in any case and we are out of banana's, the horror! Will stop at WM on the return from the club this afternoon and score more eggs and dog food. Prices have increased on all, recently. The birds have totally emptied one of the longer tube feeders. They could obviously sense this latest cold front's arrival as the temps gradually moved from a near summer nice to chilly in the northerly winds yesterday. Some are about this morning but it appears that many have chosen to sleep in. Noted two varieties of woodpeckers on the suet blocks yesterday, a small downy and a regular red-head. The former looked very young.

I need to mow but have been letting the weeds present themselves for extrication first. Gaining on that front too but my hands don't have the strength they used to. Moisture makes their removal easier. The lawn, its coming back and we may have a nice looking one once again before the growing season is done for the year. We have a lot of colour in the beds and the iris are blooming in some places. It's a parade of colour that lasts some weeks and things change as well, from year to year. The red-headed wood-pecker was on the suet cage outside the nearest widow looking into the back a moment ago. It just prized a peanut from the suet block. Always happy to oblige a red head.🙂

In and went and done it…….finally bought/ordered a battery powered lawn mower. Purchasing a Kolbalt that is powered by two 24 volt batteries which will work just fine as all of my battery powered tools are 24 volt Kolbalts. Do have a five plus year old electric lawn mower that is working great but the weekly times two ie front yard and back yard reeling and unreeling the 100 foot long power cord has taken it toll on it and about once a year needing to be replaced and they aren’t cheap even from HF.

Sunny and into the 80’s for the next few days and then rain later in the week. Fun gear is all ready to go and squeezed in final scheduled practice for which ever match I attend next Sunday pending the weather.

Kolbalt is Lowes private brand, right? I almost bought a battery mower but I got my gas one going. Battery mower is in my future, maybe Greenworks. Not cheap, about 5 bills.

In for the long run.

Does this mean no more post purging, and Al can soar back to his place of honor ?

May hit 40* if sun keeps trying to get through. Started with snow. Said to have white grass and slushy roads tomorrow.

On call for taste testing PeanutButter pie.

I like the old bar better, sprinkles won't show as much in black & white.

The Kolbalt model purchased is one bill discounted as we message. Greenworks is good stuff and was considering that brand. Having a slew of 24 volt Kolbalt battery powered tools on hand was the deciding factor on purchasing their lawn mower. Had a battery powered mower twenty years ago but back then the challenge was in the battery life and finding locally available replacements.

Happy Easter everyone.

Well more changes. Happy Rhody gets a break but always looked forward to his intro's.

I miss Wook's blue characters as it made it easy to find his posts while scrolling. Glad Wook avoided that hispanic who probably did not even have a driver's license. I have always carried uninsured motorist for that reason.

My grass is starting to grow in this Texas spring weather but the weeds grow faster. Instead of mowing I just took the weed whacker to all the weeds. Looks like I mowed the lawn. Five minutes and done.

Hope everyone has a good Easter Sunday and the kids find all their eggs.

Back from shopping for the things I forgot Friday. Picked up a 5 dollar a pound steak that will make two meals on the grill and some pork at a good price that I'll freeze.

Tubbies were everywhere.

I saw a prehistoric wood pecker when I pulled in. Pileated, I mean, my mind went blank for a minute. I wonder if that is what was wailing away at my house this morning. Vinyl and metal, no wood exposed. I wonder about birds that try to give them selves a concussion. I put out some more seed for the birds as they all seem a bit hungry and spring isn't if full bloom.

Good gun and component report Wook. Sorry the gent is hanging up his spurs so to say but good on him for passing the powder down the road.

EDIT:

Darn hammering started up. Confirmed woody woodpecker is trying to peck through a steel ridgecap. Bird brain!

Yard mowed before the weekend and allergies have been beating me up since. Body aches galore. Still need to get in the attic again. One more cable run so we have hookups in every room, plus I need to replace one cable with a better quality one while I’m up there. More ibuprofen to help with the added aches and pains afterwards.

Morning all. Just wondering if twh was never ending like sqt that proceeded it I bet we would be at over twenty thousand posts by now.
Pfft, I'd have that many innit.

ETA- Nice work Rhody.

I has a Kobalt weedwhacker and chainsaw pole pruner. +1 on the 40v batts.

Phalangicicles got too cold @ 33˚ to finish emptying the truck, console yet tudu. No ammo found but for a few Eley empties. Might be more down the windshield vents from shooting a semi out the driver's window like every vehicle I've owned since I got the now obsolete/collector Rem 597 in 99. 🤫

I win our bet S !!! 😊

Not great at math, but....
10 years (at least) = 520 weeks X an average of 500 posts per week..... 260,000 posts behind us. A quarter million posts. Slackers! 😉

Al probably had 50,000 of em'!!!😳

Another way of getting wiring from here to there especially in a attic or underneath a house is to use a kid rated power crossbow with a string attached to the end of the bolt. “Loose” the bolt and then use the aforementioned string to pull the wiring into position.

What happened to the other TWH that was supposed to be perpetual?
Frank (AzTarget) started one years ago that was perpetual until it wasn't Andy. Rhody's was a "refresh weekly" deal. Hence the jostling for first in and last out positions.

Now it's perpetual (until it isn't.) Only rocks last forever on human scale 🤠
