Kreiger would be a good name, rolls off the tongue with authority. Ma always said name a dog with a two syllable name as they can hear it better when called. Gun dogs need gun dog names, hence Breda for our keeper girl from last litter. I picked her out the day she was born and by week two she would turn her head when called. She knew she was special.
Everyone names their bird dogs Remington or Ruger suppose theirs a few named Browning as well. Citori may be a bit confusing.
SIL I guess didn’t like her little nearly white pups name that I give him WiLliaM (WLM). I thought it a great name as that was their fathers name. She named him Gus which fits as well. Hopefully she gets a lot of joy out of him and sure she will have him well trained to help pick up things she can’t reach. She lost a leg when she was a teenager hitching a ride home from s party when the driver passed out or fell asleep at the wheel. He got the end of a guard rail at high speed and split her side of the car in half. He walked away unharmed while she didn’t. Her dogs were always her kids but no luck getting healthy English Bulldogs. Three in a row with major health issues and dying too young. She don’t need the heartbreak.
One big old male Bulldog she had was her baby and wouldn’t leave her side day or night. She had her stump cut down and spent a couple months in the hospital getting healed up and a new prosthetic made. Gramma took care of her boy while she was away but left her old leg behind in the closet. Ask the dog where momma was and he would go get the leg and carry it around the rest of the day. Character!

Well in the last 2 months, I picked up a Rough Rider 6", YHM Phantom 22 suppressor, and yesterday a Mark II FV-SR. So hopefully it's a while before I head to CZ. Lol

Although the Mark II has a cracked stock. I didn't notice it when I looked it over before doing paperwork. Not sure how I didn't see it. So now I'm dealing with trying to get that resolved.

With that crack the action screws were likely torqued too tight. Possibly a poorly fitted bedding job. I prefer to turn perfect fitting aluminum bedding pillars that the action screws go through and epoxy in place. Especially with synthetic stocks.

38°A, feels like 32°. Sunny with NNW winds @ 8mph. Yesterday's snotfall has melted. Lows tonight near freezing tonight before a bit of a warmup for a few days. Unfortunately the warm will come with significant more rain. Then return to day time highs in the 40s and overnight lows again in the 30s. Wish we could string together some sunny days in the 50s or 60s with no rain for about a week or 10 days so things could dry out a bit. Where is spring?

We cleared several sections of trails of downed trees this morning. The local club bought a Rokon back in February from proceeds of local races.
I have bike envy big time after seeing it action. Maybe I’ll get to tool around on it one day if I keep on volunteering. Have several sections yet to go still.

As to the subject of different font colors, I noticed that there are 26 to choose from here but the box to enter a HEX code is there too. So if anyone wished something other than what is provided they can enter an approved HEX code in that box. Here is a web page with 140 colors by name and HEX code with an example of the color…

Trip to the range was very rewarding pinging away at the RF KYL target with a big handful of Autosmash, and verifying zero on the .223 Wylde having reshimed the scope yesterday. Used the 200, 300, and 400 yard steel targets over at the short range. Initial check yesterday was at fifty yards before and after the reshimming, and final check was on the four inch diameter steel target at 400 yards. With rain on it’s way both Thursday and Friday, and plan is to return to the range tomorrow for a morning at the LRS facility. Bringing both the 6.5 CM and the.223 Wylde but will focus on breaking the trigger and follow through with .223 Wylde. Might, just might shoot the 6.5CM at the 1000 yard target if the wind is greater than 10 mph on the Kestrel.

Had a very informative chat with one of the more accomplished pistol shooters in our immediate group. His 2011 is pretty much custom but recently has had issues with tolerance stacking as the gun wears. Fun conversation revolving around gunsmithing, fabrication, rate of fire, and accurac/precision. 😀

It's fun to watch people ride a Rokon. Not so much fun to ride one yourself. Wait for them to turn the handlebars and hit the gas and watch them go flying off on their head. I knew a guy when I lived in Fairbanks that bought one and went riding out to a cabin with some friends that were on 4-wheelers. They all made it there in a couple hours. It took him four and he was a filthy mess from falling off so many times.

Hope you get your stock issue dealt with quickly & to your satisfaction. The advise on pillar bedding you've received is very sound. Should you get the stock replaced, I would immediately go in that direction, inclusive of the mentioned epoxy; it will pay dividends, long term, in both accuracy and the stock's life expectancy.

Bride told me that she'd seen the first hummer of the season day before yesterday. I've not seen one yet. We should put a feeder out for them this year. Never got around tuit last year but still had plenty of them about, in the back. I'm sure they were in the front too but I never made that observation. Did see a hummingbird moth in the front twice last summer.

We B weeded out or izzit we've out weeded ourselves(?)... as in worn out from weeding. Two large contractor's bags worth that I could barely manage. Hands have had it for the day and remain flexible tho grip strength isn't back to where it was some months prior and I still have some on-going numbness in the rt. thumb & first two fangers. I could grumble about it, but to whot end? Think I'll just fix a nice stout highball and be thankful that I/we could do whot we've done today and not worry about it. Purple sage/rain bushes in the courtyard are telling me the weasels forecast for rain is very iffy. They have no blooms and have mostly leaved/leafed out. I'm not going to worry about that either, taking a Kierkegaardian view on the matter; it either will or it won't.

I've placed an order for another few hunnert pounds of shot, locking in an already high price but can see it much higher in many places... and if things don't improve soon [I'm hesitant to say they will], it will have proved a sound decision. With my interests where they are, I look at adequate supplies of components like some might bars of bullion. We keep cubes of beef, yard bird and t'mater bullion on hand... in jars clearly labeled. The lead shot is costing me more than they did. Life; live it... and grin! 😎

So I shouldn’t lose sleep dreaming of taking it for a slow speed spin ehh? Slow crashes are the worst as you don’t skid much just thump.
A few summers ago I took my eldest brothers mini bike for a spin with one of his souped up kart engines mounted. Didn’t crash it when the throttle stuck wide open but was about pushing the kill button through the handlebar. Something about having a souped up clone engine putting out around 30hp that just didn’t jive well with 12” tires.
